Shadow was invited to Green Hills by Sonic. They had just left the movie theater. Shadow was now observing their surroundings as they walked silently beside Sonic. Sonic was drinking a milkshake he had bought at the theater with the allowance Thom had given him. Sonic had had to save at least five allowances to go out with Shadow that day. Although the blue hedgehog wouldn't shut up, Shadow thought to himself that he enjoyed listening to Sonic talk for hours. After all, Sonic was his comfort zone, something he would never admit out loud.
