Shadow once considered Sonic a rival, even wanting to destroy him. However, due to fate, he ended up falling in love with the blue hero and formed a relationship with him. No matter how immature or clumsy he was, he loved him just as he was, although sometimes it was inevitable that he would lose his patience, just like now as they were in his bedroom while Shadow scolded Sonic.

"How can you confuse my face mask with guacamole?! Did you even read the label on the jar?"

Shadow exclaimed, a noticeable hint of annoyance and concern in his voice, as he looked at Sonic, who was sitting on the bed. Apparently, Sonic had mistaken one of Shadow's face masks for guacamole and had eaten some.
