If there was one thing Chaeyoung enjoyed more than winning arguments, it was making Violet lose her composure.

It started as a joke.

Every morning, Chaeyoung would find Violet somewhere around campus just to bother her.

"You smiled at me yesterday."

Violet sighed dramatically.

"Don't you have anyone else to annoy?"

"No. You're my favorite."

"I feel incredibly honored."

"You should."

Days turned into weeks, yet Chaeyoung never got tired of it.

One afternoon, she leaned against Violet's locker with that same smug smile.

"So... dinner tonight?"

"No."

"Tomorrow?"

"No."

"This weekend?"

"No."

"Next month?"

Violet folded her arms.

"Do you ever give up?"

"Not really."

"You know I'm never going out with you."

Chaeyoung shrugged.

"Maybe."

"There is no 'maybe.'"

"I don't know..." She grinned. "You keep talking to me."

"Because you never leave me alone."

"Exactly."

Violet rolled her eyes.

"You're unbelievable."

"I've been told."

She started walking away, only to hear Chaeyoung call after her.

"See you tomorrow, princess!"

Without turning around, Violet lifted a hand.

"Don't push your luck."

Chaeyoung only laughed.

She never expected Violet to admit she enjoyed the attention.
