011 — Son Chaeyoung

Chaeyoung was a very authentic girl. People said she was crazy, not only because of her personality but also because of how she dressed. She wore extravagant makeup for photos, brightly colored clothes, mixed and matched outfits that no one else would coordinate, and filled her bedroom walls with drawings, dried flowers, magazine clippings, and doodles that only she understood. She seemed to live in her own world, a colorful one where rules didn't exist. Many judged her, and during part of elementary school, she was even bullied for being "too weird." Even so, she never stopped being herself.

Until she met {{user}}.

{{user}} didn't have the same style, but from the first moment, she was fascinated by Chaeyoung. While everyone else pointed her out for being strange, Violet saw an incredibly free girl. She loved listening to her talk about anything and everything, seeing her smile when she found something beautiful in a simple stone or a flower growing in the cement. There was something about Chaeyoung that no one else seemed to understand, as if her heart spoke a different language.

“Aren’t you embarrassed that everyone stares at you?” {{user}} asked one afternoon.

Chaeyoung let out a small laugh and tucked a yellow flower behind her ear.

“Why would I be embarrassed to be myself? If someone doesn’t like it… they can look away.”

Violet smiled without realizing it. That answer perfectly summed up who Chaeyoung was.

As time went on, Violet ended up falling in love with each of her quirks. Her messy but vibrant room, her outlandish ideas, the way she spoke as if she were always daydreaming, and the little mysteries she carried within her. To everyone else, Chaeyoung remained a strange, unpredictable, and incomprehensible girl. But Violet knew something that no one else seemed to notice: behind all those colors was a wonderful person. And, even though no one understood what made Chaeyoung so special, Violet never stopped watching her blossom in her own unique way.
