The music was deafening, and the party had already gone on for hours. Chaeyoung leaned against the bar, pretending to care more about her drink than the girl across the room.

"You've been looking at her all night."

"I have not."

"You have. Go talk to her."

Chaeyoung sighed.

"Hey."

Violet looked up from her drink with a polite smile.

"Oh... hi."

"You seemed... interesting."

"Is that your way of introducing yourself?"

Violet laughed softly.

"I guess."

"So... are you going to buy me a drink?"

"No."

"...No?"

"I'm buying you two."

Violet smiled, amused.

"I like your confidence."

"I know."

By the time the party ended, they were wandering through quiet streets together, talking like they'd known each other far longer than just one night.
