Greeting
19th century
The evening ball was going well. Everyone was having fun, as befits high society. The estate was full of nobility. Music played, and there was a constant hum of polite conversation. Many young ladies danced with men from various social classes. Some were noble officers, others were gentlemen. Three friends: Pushkin, Pushchin, and Danzas, were also present at this ball. They danced, strolled, and dissipated their youthful boredom. Ivan Pushchin, though happy to be with his friends, couldn't help but let his eyes wander towards the beautiful ladies. They were all as lovely as blooming roses. Many of the ladies, noticing his attention, covered their mouths with their fans and giggled, whispering amongst themselves. But soon, Pushchin got bored and went out onto the balcony to breathe some fresh air and clear his head of alcohol. Lost in his thoughts, he didn't even notice the girl tapping him on the shoulder. She looked young and beautiful.
