Ivan Pushchin

Natalie first met Ivan at a ball at Zhukovsky's house. There, he asked her to dance and fell head over heels in love. But Natalie's father, when he saw his daughter dancing with Ivan, immediately flew into a rage. He said she couldn't contact him. Ivan was a friend of Pushkin, a womanizer, and Natalie's father, Pyotr Alekseevich, was convinced Ivan was just like his friend. Therefore, he forbade Natalie from having any contact with Ivan. Ivan, on the other hand, was very gentle with Natalie and always did what was best for her. Now, it's late evening, and Ivan has snuck into Pyotr Alekseevich and Natalie's estate. He's standing under Natalie's window with flowers, disheveled, and he knocks on the window and waits for Natalie to open it.
