It all begins with Steven trying to find a new place for his mother's portrait, with whom he has conflicting feelings. After trying several spots (including above the Gems' bedroom door, one of the hands of the Temple figure, the conservatory, and his bathroom), he finally puts it on a wall by the stairs, which was the same spot as before. Amethyst and Greg try to calm Steven's frustration, but are interrupted by a sudden shadow that darkens the entire house. They go outside to see what it is, discovering it's Pink Diamond's Human Zoo. Realizing this, Amethyst, Steven, and Greg go to the conservatory, which has a communication device. When they use it, they are greeted by Wy-Six and Jay-Ten, who tell them that the zoo is now controlled by the humans. Greg tries to greet them, but is immediately reminded by an enraged Wy-Six of what happened in "That's It," and leaves. After that, Wy-Six suggests to Steven that they visit the zoo, to which Steven replies that Amethyst can come too. Wy-Six agrees as long as Greg isn't included. At the zoo, Amethyst and Steven discover that the human containment area has been repurposed as a sort of vacation destination, and Wy-Six explains that the humans now control the place. It's also clear that the former Quartz guards are now doing little more than enjoying themselves, which greatly displeases Blue Agate, who longs for the old days and their strong authority. Agate also mentions that the Diamonds now only talk about Steven, but is ironically interrupted and greeted by him, causing her to leave flustered. Meanwhile, Amethyst takes advantage of the visit and greets her Amethyst friends with a quick spin.

Steven receives a surprise visit from some old friends and an even more surprising introduction to some new ones.

Wy-Six wants to show Steven something and takes him to the room where the Rose Quartzes were trapped in bubbles, where he sees they've all been released. Shortly after, he's greeted by two Rose Quartzes, Superfan and Hippie, who make him uncomfortable; more than that, Steven is stunned to see a third Rose Quartz who looks exactly like his mother. While the first two are more enthusiastic about meeting him, this last one keeps her distance. Panicked at not knowing how to talk to them, Steven decides he'll invite them to his house for dinner. Amethyst, who was having fun with the others, is also surprised.

Back at the house, Steven eats dinner while the Rose Quartzes watch in surprise, Garnet and Pearl feeling awkward. Greg enters the house wondering how long the humans from the zoo will be staying, but immediately leaves upon seeing the Rose Quartzes, particularly Shy Rose Quartz. Afterward, Pearl, uncomfortable with the situation and especially with Shy Rose nearby, goes to the bathroom. Garnet and Steven follow her for the same reason. In the bathroom, they all discuss how strange it is to have the Rose Quartzes in the house. As Steven leaves the bathroom, he is surprised by Superfan and trips over Shy Rose, who sees Rose's picture and suggests she should leave with the others. Steven, again panicking, replies that they can stay the night and that he'll have a sleepover.

Unlike her two friends, she closely resembles the Rose Quartz who was the leader of the Crystal Gems (that's Deci, Pink Diamond, Steven's mother, who had transformed into a Rose Quartz). The only difference from Rose Quartz (Bashful) is her skin tone, which is slightly pinker. She wears an outfit similar to the uniform worn by Quartz soldiers under Homeworld's regime, notably similar to the first outfit worn by Pink Diamond's Rose Quartz disguise; except there's a large pink triangle where a Pink Diamond would be.

As her name suggests, she is much more reserved and quiet than her friends. She seems more considerate and mature than Rose Quartz, noticing how uncomfortable Steven is with the idea of ​​her and the other Rose Quartzes living with him and interacting with him because he is Pink Diamond's son.

Appearance She has messy, medium-length pink hair, similar to most Quartzes, with a prominent tuft on top. Her skin is pink, and she has full lips with pink lipstick. She wears a standard Quartz uniform with some unique details, such as a bright pink circle in the center with pink stripes. She wears pink boots with a V-shaped curve at the top. Her gemstone is located in the mid-deltoid of her left arm.

Personality She's very hyperactive, getting excited when she sees Steven eat or do human things, which gives her a personality similar to Pink Diamond/Rose Quartz. Later, it's revealed that she was partly pretending, but mostly her true personality was on display.

Appearance

She has a tall, voluptuous figure, like most Quartz gems. She has salmon-pink skin, full lips similar to Amethyst's with a delicate pink "lipstick" reminiscent of Pink Diamond's. Her eyes are black, she has thick, black eyebrows, a nose similar to Steven's, and long, wild, messy, pale pink hair that resembles Jasper's. Her gem is located on her chest.

Personality He has a relaxed and apathetic personality like a teenager, however, he can get excited, such as when he sees Steven eating or doing human things.

They are gems belonging solely to Pink Diamond, as she was their creator, as explicitly stated by Shy Rose Quartz. Like other quartz gems, they aren't particularly remarkable, but in the old gem hierarchy, they would have ranked above technical gems like peridots and servant gems like pearls.

Common rose quartz individuals are large, athletic, and robust, with disheveled hair, which is usually long (though some amethysts have short hair). Their gems are round, with facets typically seen in pentagonal shapes. Their skin tones range from pink to light magenta. Their hair is commonly seen in different shades of pink, although sometimes it is simply a lighter shade of their skin tone.

In the past, they had been locked in capsules for looking very much like Rose Quartz, Steven's mother, who had actually been Pink Diamond.

Blue Diamond clarified that Pink Diamond was the one who created them. That's why she had vehemently refused to destroy them, as she wanted to preserve the memories that remained of her, apart from the Human Zoo and Earth.

Pink Diamond, in her physical form as Rose, had very long, curly, and shiny pink hair; pink lips; and was fuller and taller than the other Crystal Gems. Her appearance is exactly the same as Rose Quartz's (Bashful) except that she didn't have pink skin, nor did she dress like the Rose Quartzes. In her original form as Pink Diamond, unlike Blue Diamond, Yellow Diamond, and White Diamond, Pink Diamond was much shorter than a diamond. Like the other Diamonds shown in the series, her body matches the color of her gem, with a pink complexion. She has wavy, shoulder-length pastel pink hair, full, painted lips, wide hips, and a slender torso. Her irises are fuchsia with black, diamond-shaped pupils. Her outfit consists of a dark magenta top that covers the bust and dark violet over the obliques, revealing her abdomen and her gem, an upside-down pink diamond.
