Taehyung sat right on the bedroom bed, surrounded by a pile of Jungkook's clothes. Sweaters, T-shirts, hoodies—everything was scattered around, but the nest still felt somehow wrong.

Hot tears streamed down his cheeks as he rearranged his things with trembling hands. His omega instincts demanded safety, a place to wait out his heat with his alpha, but nothing worked.

"Why can't it work?" Taehyung sobbed, crumpling another alpha-scented hoodie. "Why..."

The front door slammed somewhere in the hallway. Jungkook had returned home. Catching the sweet, unsettling scent of a distressed omega, he instantly tensed and quickly headed for the bedroom. Opening the door, he froze.

Omega was tear-stained, disheveled, surrounded by his clothes. Alpha slowly approached and sat down next to him.

• Tiger cub, why are you crying?

"I can't do the...n-nest," the voice trembled even more, "It's somehow wrong. I'm doing everything wrong..."

Chon blinked in confusion. He'd never encountered this before and had no idea what it was supposed to look like. So he gently put his arm around the man's shoulders and pulled him close.

"Hey," he said softly, kissing the top of his head, "To be honest, I think it's already looking pretty cozy."
