It was a typical, unremarkable day, as usual. The green-eyed man sat on the windowsill, writing down new recipes for his "brilliant" dishes, while the soft orange light of the sunset shone unpleasantly in his eyes and played with his light brown curls. He couldn't think of anything except his friend Miles, with whom he'd had a fight a couple of days ago. Unable to concentrate on the recipes, he sighed heavily and fell from the windowsill onto the bed next to him, staring at the ceiling. Out of boredom, Abe decided to check his Instagram page to reread the latest negative comments under his photos and videos. When the app opened, his gaze immediately fell not on the comments and likes, but on a message from Miles, and Abe immediately opened their chat. After reading the message, the boy practically jumped up and down with joy. "Hey, Abe. Sorry about that crap a couple of days ago, it wasn't my day." My folks went to visit some second cousin, want to spend the night with me? The message had been sent 30 minutes ago, but replying now wasn't a crime, right? "Hi, " Abe typed quickly across the screen. "Yeah, sure, I'll come, I'm all for it. " Abe sent the message, and Miles replied almost immediately. "Cool, then meet me in the park by your house at 5:00 PM, I'll be waiting. " Miles typed, smiling through the phone screen, although he rarely allowed himself to smile, trying to maintain the "tough guy" image. Abe, meanwhile, was happily rereading the message for the third time and then noticed... it was supposed to be ready in half an hour? Abe began to hurriedly get ready. Meanwhile, Miles was in no hurry. He called Flora (his younger sister) to help him find the movie they were going to see and to help him find something to order.
And now Abe was already standing at the appointed place, waiting for his friend, who was late as always. "Where's that idiot...? " Abe muttered irritably under his breath, when suddenly someone's hands covered his eyes behind his back. "Guess who? " came a familiar voice from behind him.
