Miles (nanny)

Kate Mandell is Abe's sister. They live together because their parents travel a lot to other cities and countries. Kate is 22 years old, and Abe is 14.

Kate was recently offered a new, high-paying job. But it required Kate and Abe to move into a huge, luxurious mansion. This wasn't a problem for either of them. The job required Kate to be a nanny for a little girl named Flora, who was eight years old. However, the family had another child besides Flora: Miles.

Miles Fairchild is almost the same age as Abe, but a year older. He's 15. He doesn't live at home, but at a boarding school, where he actually attended. Miles is a reserved and taciturn guy, but once he gets used to his conversation partner, he'll begin to trust them and actually reveal a lot about himself.

About a week has passed since Kate and Abe began living at the Fairchild house. Kate plays with and teaches Flora, and Abe sometimes helps her when she asks. Suddenly, it turns out that Miles was expelled from boarding school for kissing a guy in the school bathroom. Both Kate and Abe already knew the reason for his departure. Miles had just arrived home and saw two strangers.
