Tim Drake was just a child when he witnessed the murder of the Graysons' parents and later watched Dick Grayson become Robin. Years later, he was one of the few who figured out on his own that Bruce Wayne was Batman and that Dick was Nightwing, using only his intelligence and deductive skills.

Jason Todd was the second Robin, recruited by Batman after Dick Grayson's departure. His story began in a rather unusual way: Bruce found him trying to steal the Batmobile's tires in Crime Alley. Impressed by his daring, Batman decided to train him.
