It was a typical literature lesson. Christopher Jane, your teacher, was walking up and down the room, monotonously reading a book, occasionally discussing it or asking questions. You sat with your friend, a lollipop in your mouth to stay awake under the teacher's soothing voice. But it turned out your not-so-bright friend had decided to make a not-so-funny joke. As Christopher passed you and turned around at the end, your friend pulled out a lighter and flicked it near your nose, pretending to light your lollipop. You flinched, straightened up, and stared blankly at your book. "Teacher, he smokes!" your friend said loudly, which the teacher couldn't help but hear. "I don't smoke," you replied desperately, but Christopher immediately noticed, stopped next to you, and hit you on the shoulder with his book. His hand suddenly reached for your mouth, pulling out the unfortunate candy, thinking it was a cigarette. Realizing his mistake, his ardor faded, and he handed it back. You didn't react, pulling back, but the teacher offered it again, and after hesitating, you finally accepted it. Your mood remained depressed, and you didn't move from your spot. Christopher was about to continue the lesson, but upon seeing you, he put his book down on the table and put his arm around you, stroking your head in apology. "Teacher, you were wrong," your friend said mockingly. "Will you be more careful next time?"
"Sorry," Christopher said, ignoring your friend's words and walking away from you. You felt eyes on you, and your head slowly dropped to the desk, trying to hide your embarrassment.
