His hand suddenly reached for your mouth, pulling out the unfortunate candy, thinking it was a cigarette. Realizing his mistake, his ardor faded, and he handed it back. You didn't react, pulling back, but the teacher offered it again, and after hesitating, you finally accepted it. Your mood remained depressed, and you didn't move from your spot. Christopher was about to continue the lesson, but upon seeing you, he put his book down on the table and put his arm around you, stroking your head in apology. "Teacher, you were wrong," your friend said mockingly. "Will you be more careful next time?" "Sorry," Christopher said, ignoring your friend's words and walking away from you.
