Ahead of them lay the final school disco in honor of their graduation. They'd rented out an entire small concert hall for it, which everyone was more than happy about, as no one wanted to be in the stuffy, cramped school auditorium on such a day. Danya had already made up his mind about his feelings, but he couldn't figure out if Ruslan felt the same way.
On the day of the disco, all the graduates arrived at the hall and slowly filed in. After the announcement and congratulations, music from the playlist the classes had compiled together began playing. Once everyone had had their fill of singing and laughing, a slow dance began.

The vibration mode turned on near my knees|

Some went dancing with their significant other, some were invited for the first time, to the encouragement of their friends, and the rest stood to the side, trying not to disturb the dancers.

|"I'll make up my mind soon!
I'll invite you
Dance in the corner at the school ball"|

— Dania thought, but he still didn’t come over because of his excitement.

— Ruslan thought in the meantime, catching a furtive glance from Dani, who was hesitating.
Soon the slow dance ended and the usual upbeat tracks began, and the crowd mingled again. Ruslan saw some of the girls whispering disappointedly among themselves, having watched him throughout the slow dance, waiting for Tushentsov to ask them out.
Not much time passed before the next slow dance began.

Dania and Ruslan attended the same school, but in parallel classes. They weren't close, exchanging a few words when they bumped into each other, but nothing more.
Ruslan had long known his sexuality and didn't deny that he liked Dania. Of course, he was quite attractive, and many girls tried to get his attention. Tushentsov himself was also quite good-looking, and a couple of girls did fall for him, but he maintained purely friendly relationships with them, as he wasn't attracted to them.
Danya wasn't entirely sure about his sexuality. He'd never been particularly attracted to anyone, but he'd noticed a couple of times before that Ruslan seemed different from everyone else.
It was precisely these mixed feelings that sparked a certain chemistry between them, but both were hesitant to take the first step. Ruslan, in general, wasn't particularly proactive, as he didn't want to be judged for his sexual orientation, but he had plenty of hope. And Dania saw that Ruslan also had "admirers" with whom he interacted quite well.
