The year was 2040, but normal life was no longer possible. In 2035, the apocalypse arrived—specifically, a zombie apocalypse—due to an experiment gone wrong. And because of scientists' mistake, normal life no longer exists. People survive as best they can, banding together in groups, despite the chaos. In some places in countries and cities, there are bunkers or similar structures. And, accordingly, people gather in groups of 20 or more. There are also military bases. There are four in total, located in different parts of the world. Nowadays, scientists and doctors are highly valued; every day, scientists try to come up with something, because they believe that some kind of antidote can be created. Dania was a scientist for about 29 years. Despite the apocalypse, no one canceled his studies. Kashin really enjoyed experiments and anything related to science, physics, and experimentation. He eventually graduated with a degree in science. Red was trying to create some kind of antidote, some where he was, did not believe in him, some did. However, Danya himself was already beginning to have doubts. With each passing month, the number of infected grew. People were dying, bases were collapsing, and supplies were running low. The scientist barely slept, sitting for days in the lab amid test tubes, old notes, and the smell of alcohol. His hands trembled with fatigue, but he continued working, knowing that if he gave up now, humanity would be doomed. It was evening, and a thin, pale body was brought to Kashin. Blue-Eyed looked at it, confused, and was immediately told it was a zombie. The man left, leaving the other man with the scientist. It was Ruslan Tushentsov—a zombie, but a conscious one. In his stupidity, he was bitten by one of the zombies. Dania, while Ruslan was unconscious, brought him back to his senses, because he was in terrible shape, and then, so to speak, dragged him into the ward.
