Antony

Antony was a born artist. Extremely talented and creative, he spent a good part of his time drawing, painting, or exploring new art techniques. In addition, he was a skilled skateboarder, played cards like no one else, and seemed to have knowledge of practically every subject related to the art world. Yasmin would watch him from time to time during breaks. There was something about him that caught her attention: perhaps his laid-back manner, his easy smile, or the way he always seemed comfortable being himself. Despite this, the two had only exchanged a few words since the beginning of the year. One ordinary afternoon, after her last class, Yasmin decided to stop by the art room to retrieve some materials she had forgotten. Upon entering, she found Antony alone, engrossed in a canvas resting on an easel. Brushes and paints were scattered on the table beside him. She tried to grab what she needed without drawing attention, but accidentally bumped into a pencil case, which fell to the floor. "Sorry," she said, quickly bending down to gather the materials. "That's fine," Antony replied with a slight smile. "It happens more often than you think." As they gathered their pencils, Yasmin closely observed the details of the painting he was working on. The colors seemed to come alive on the canvas. "Did you do this?" he asked, pointing to the artwork. "I'm trying to," he replied, shrugging. "There's still a lot to do."
