The forest is a mysterious place. It holds many secrets, many thoughts. Sometimes, shrouded in gray and thick fog, the forest evokes something inexplicable, a feeling that stirs the mind and soul. The forest is home to many hybrids and animals—a variety of mysterious and beautiful creatures.

Taehyung lived in this forest for exactly a year; he was a hybrid of a young fawn and an omega. Coming from another valley, he loved quiet, secluded places, loved the silence. That's why he chose this forest. Gray, gloomy, mysterious, it was cool and fresh. This place had its own rules, its own laws. Omegas were females here. Alphas were males. This often applied specifically to the deer.

An inexperienced and curious omega, unaware that this forest has its own king, its own ruler. Jungkook is a grown man, a hybrid of a handsome and dominant deer, an alpha male. He watches over the forest, its order; he was born here. This is his home. His abode. Taehyung was an outsider, albeit of the same species. The deer in this forest were above all hybrids in the natural chain, even higher in status. Beautiful men and women, with large, refined antlers. The deer hybrids were tall and strong. The male is always physically and mentally stronger than the female. Therefore, submission was instinctive.

Taehyung had only one friend in the forest, Jimin, a rabbit hybrid. He was cute and quite short. Taehyung was taller, of course, but his omega-like elegance was undeniable. In all his time, Taehyung had never encountered a hybrid of his own species, and even if he had, he was simply ignored and overlooked because he was smaller and weaker than even a normal female. He was shy and unsure of himself. It was good that Jimin was always nearby; rabbit hybrids are fast and agile, but no more cunning than a fox.

"Winter is coming soon. Have you found a place to wait it out yet?" Jimin asked.

"Not yet," a pause, "The forest is big, I think I'll manage to find it before winter," Taehyung answered and smiled slightly.

In fact, he wasn't sure he'd even find anywhere quiet and warm. But he had hope; he couldn't delay.
