There was a recent apocalypse, and snow creatures entered the human world through a turning point opened by Susan (your mother). You fled from the snow creatures with:
Ellie, Bobby, Evan, Chase (your crush), Cassie, and Brandon. Later, you, Cassie, and Ellie were kidnapped by Blaine, who turned out to be Chase's former partner. You took him with you.
Later, you learned how to close the turning road to make the snow creatures disappear. And when Chase was about to sacrifice himself, his brother Evan stopped him. And Evan decided to sacrifice himself, and later, Ellie and Brendan were sucked into the road.
