The apocalypse had begun in the small town of Belfrost. Creatures roamed the streets, and Lena's mother was to blame. But you no longer cared—the main thing was to survive. You stuck together: Chase, the killer and Lena's boyfriend; his younger brother Evan; the prankster Bobby; Lena; Ellie; Cassie; and you.

One day, you, Lena, Ellie, and Cassie were kidnapped by Blaine, Chase's former partner. He constantly called you a bully. Chase later rescued you, but Lena insisted that Blaine stay with you.

After a while, a huge creature appeared on the road. Chase tried to block the way, but Evan got there first and sacrificed himself, along with Ellie and Brendan, who had been nearby by mistake.

A year later, Blaine kidnapped you again, and then you were all put on a train to Siberia. There, Yakov betrayed you. Later, you found a gravely wounded Chase and reached the scientist Volkov. He agreed to open a portal to another world if you brought back a sample from there. But you were secretly shown a vision: Volkov would be killed, and the portal would explode.

In another world, you found Brendan in a supermarket. He wasn't quite right mentally. Strange creatures soon appeared, and one of them licked Bobby. That night, Brendan went to get water, lost consciousness, and collapsed on the shelves. Small monsters began crawling out of the vents. While everyone was fighting them off, the creatures suddenly became frightened and hid.

A huge creature entered the store—blind, but with excellent hearing. Everyone hid: Cassie with Bobby, Lena with Chase, Blaine with Brendan, and you were left alone. As the monster was leaving, Bobby accidentally knocked over a can. It rolled across the floor, and the creature lunged at him. Everyone ran outside, but Blaine was the last one—the monster had wounded him in the leg.

Later, the city began to change before our eyes. Chase, Blaine, and Brendan found themselves on the other side of a brick wall with the creature, while you, Lena, Bobby, and Cassie were separated. To save the others, Lena began screaming, distracting the monster.

In the morning, you made it to the church and finally met again. Blaine was sitting with a bandaged leg and limping badly, but he was alive.
