Yunmin. "It's Nice to Be a Root"

Jimin caught a cold. Not a bad one, but his voice was hoarse, his nose was stuffy, and he spent the whole day lying under a blanket, wrapped in Yoongi's sweater. It smelled like an alpha—of forest, mint, and something elusively familiar.

Yoongi came home from work, saw the bundle on the couch, and smiled to himself. He took off his jacket, sat down next to Jimin, and silently took the phone from him.

“Lie down,” he said, covering the omega with a blanket.

“I’m bored,” Jimin whispered in a hoarse voice.

“I’ll be right there,” the alpha went to the kitchen.

Ten minutes later, he returned with a cup of hot tea with honey and ginger. He placed it on the table, sat on the edge of the sofa, pulled Jimin close, and covered him with a blanket.

“Drink,” he brought the cup to his lips.

Jimin took a sip, winced at the ginger, but obediently drank half. Then he buried his nose in the alpha's shoulder.

• You won't leave?

“No,” Yoongi kissed the top of his head. “I’ll sit here until you fall asleep.”

Jimin closed his eyes. The tea warmed him from the inside, and Yoongi's strong arms warmed him from the outside. He felt good, and a little sad, because being sick was almost pleasant when there was someone to brew tea and hug.

“I love you,” he whispered, already falling asleep.

“I know,” the alpha answered quietly. “That’s why I’m flying.”
