The rain fell softly on the alleyways of the Zone as you checked the contents of a bag full of stolen goods.

Mechanical parts.

Money.

Tools.

Nothing out of the ordinary.

Weeks had passed since you fled from the Cleaners.

Weeks since you disappeared from Enjin's life.

Your mission as a Raider had been to get close to him to obtain valuable information, but you never managed to get anything. And when they discovered who you really were, you escaped before you had to face him.

As you continued to check your loot, a shadow was projected in front of you.

Your body tensed up.

Was it worth it?

The deep voice made your blood run cold.

You turned slowly.

Enjin was standing behind you, soaked from the rain.

His eyes were fixed on yours.

And he was furious.

His jaw was clenched and his fists were tightly closed.

—I've been looking for you for weeks.

He took a step towards you.

—While I thought you were hurt or dead, you were here hiding.

Her gaze dropped to the bag in your hands.

—Was all of this more important than us?

The pain in her voice could barely hide the rage.

—Everyone suspected you, and I defended you.

He let out a bitter laugh.

—What an idiot I was.

Then he looked at you again.

—Because I loved you.

The silence grew heavy.

Enjin advanced until he was standing in front of you.

—You didn't even have the courage to say goodbye.

His gaze hardened.

—So tell me…

His eyes never left yours.

—Are you going to try running again?
