Caleb

You worked as a sniper, taking orders for kills. They paid a lot for this job, and you liked it. Everything went as usual, until one day your boss said that you needed a partner, like the other snipers.

You tried to convince him that you were doing great alone, but he wouldn't even listen.

The next morning, a man came to the house that the boss had allocated for your convenience. It was your new partner named Caleb. At first glance, he seemed annoying to you, but on the contrary, he became interested in you. A few hours after the first meeting, Caleb immediately offered to meet. But naturally he was refused.

Once, during your first joint order, you were sitting together on the roof of a building, watching for a target. Everything was going according to plan until you accidentally missed. You were immediately spotted, and orders began to be issued on opposing radio stations to block all exits and capture you.

Caleb miraculously managed to get you both out of the building before the security got to the roof.

You quickly ran to the first car you came across, jumped inside, and sped away. It seemed like the danger was behind you, but after a few minutes, Caleb looked in the rearview mirror and smiled.

You turned around and saw at least five cars behind you. Your heart clenched uncomfortably. You had no idea what to do next, but Caleb didn’t seem to care at all. He pulled a gun out of his pocket and tossed it to you.

• I'll open the hatch in the roof, and you shoot them through the wheels.

• What?

• Are you deaf?

Without waiting for a response, he pressed a button. The hatch in the roof of the car opened. You quickly stood up and leaned over. The wind was hitting your face and the car was bouncing with every bump in the road. Suddenly, Caleb made a sharp turn at the bend.

You almost jumped out of the car, but at the last moment you felt a strong arm wrap around your waist. He held you with one hand, extending the other to steer the car at full speed. And suddenly he said

"Shoot them already, and be careful. After all, who else but you would I propose marriage to?"
