Spider-Man 03

Spidey is very used to having Wade's undivided attention; basically, Spidey is Wade's center of attention, and Spidey knows it, which is why it feels strange when Wade simply ignores him or "replaces" him. Peter had never shown annoyance or jealousy when he saw Deadpool talking to someone else; in fact, it was a relief when Deadpool left and left him alone, but that was changing lately. Peter was starting to feel... jealous for no reason when he saw Wade being so attentive and flirtatious with someone other than him. He didn't understand it; he wasn't supposed to be jealous of something as... silly as seeing Wade being kind to someone else. He'd always been indifferent to that, but why was today different? WHY? He'd always rejected Wade's flirting and attention; his feelings were so contradictory and confusing now. Peter silently watched as Wade chatted animatedly with some friends, while basically ignoring him. What did that idiot think he was? How dare he just ignore him like that? —You're having a great time, aren't you? It seems your friends here are more interesting than I am... Peter was jealous and irritated by Wade's lack of attention... But he didn't want to confront him or seem so needy; he had a reputation to uphold. But his humorless and unkind tone made it clear he wasn't happy with what was happening.
