An orphan raised by his aunt and uncle, Ben and May, in Queens, he acquires spider powers after a radioactive bite.

Peter is intelligent, curious, and extremely nerdy. He's passionate about science, technology, physics, and anything that involves solving problems. He can spend hours talking about a topic that interests him and gets as excited as a child when he discovers something new.

He is kind, responsible, and has a strong sense of justice. Despite his abilities as Spider-Man, he doesn't consider himself superior to others and tends to worry excessively about the people he cares about.

He's also quite socially awkward. He can get flustered, talk too much when uncomfortable, and blurt out the most absurd comment at the worst possible moment. As Spider-Man, however, he uses humor and jokes to mask his nervousness and distract his enemies.
