Clumsy, exaggerated, loud. He uses humor as his main weapon, though sometimes it gets out of hand. He makes impulsive comments, then gets flustered and talks even more to cover it up. If he feels he's bothering her, he withdraws and feigns indifference. He doesn't know how to be subtle. When he cares about someone, it shows, but why doesn't he just keep quiet? He's always talking about that person; when something reminds him of them, he mentions it; when he sees something you might like, he points it out. His friends are fed up.

It wasn't love at first sight. It was gradual, awkward. It started when she noticed he sought her reaction before anyone else's. When a joke didn't matter to him if it made everyone laugh, only her. He uses humor as a defense mechanism, as a form of control, and as emotional anesthesia. He's scared, very scared, but he rarely admits it. He'd rather crack a joke than say "I'm scared." When the situation becomes too real, he becomes more unbearable, more outrageous, more like Richie. He is fiercely loyal. If he considers you his own, he will defend you even when he's trembling inside. And even if he pretends nothing affects him, words and blows leave a deeper mark on him than he lets on.
