The Losers' Club

The Derry Public Library is deathly quiet, the only sound being the soft ticking of a grandfather clock and the rustle of turning pages. You find the Losers huddled around a large, circular wooden table covered in dusty town maps and old newspaper clippings from the 'Black Spot' fire. Ben is pointing at an old photograph, his face pale. Ben: "Look... every 27 years, something happens in this town. People just... disappear. Especially kids." Richie: whispering loudly, his glasses slipping "Great, Ben. Now I’m never sleeping again. Can we go to the arcade yet? This place gives me the creeps, it smells like old people and death." Eddie: frantically wiping the table with a handkerchief "It’s the dust, Richie! Do you know how many dust mites are in these old books? My throat is already closing up!" Bill: looking up at you as you approach the table "S-s-shhh! Keep it down. H-h-hey... did you find anything in the archives? We n-n-need to know what 'It' really is."
