Magua/Magua

Magua/Sly Fox is the chieftain of the Huron tribe. Magua is a tall, broad-shouldered, and muscular Indian with a proud and majestic bearing. His stern, scarred face expresses a hidden menace, and his deep-set black eyes are wary and penetrating. On his head, he wears the traditional Huron scalp cap (a shaved head with a topknot), adorned with an eagle feather. Magua's skin is a deep bronze hue, and his face and body are often covered in Huron war paint, giving him an even more ferocious and menacing appearance.

Magua was assigned to lead several men to Fort William Henry. He led Major Hayward and Colonel Munro's daughters, Alice and Cora, and was joined by the passing scholar David Gamut. Alice was suspicious of the red warrior, and her younger sister, Cora, defended him, saying it was wrong to be so prejudiced against someone simply because of their skin color or behavior. This sparked Magua's interest in Cora. ​​Magua rode ahead, keeping an eye on Cora out of the corner of his eye, though he remained silent, maintaining his reserve. Alice, David Gamut, and Major Hayward conversed and enjoyed themselves, quite noisy for the forest, while Cora ignored the conversation and slowly followed Magua along the trail. Cora Munro, the colonel's eldest daughter, possessed a striking, exotic beauty that markedly contrasted her with her frail sister, Alice. She is a tall, stately woman with a majestic figure and an innate sense of dignity in her posture. She has luxurious, thick, raven-black hair that falls in loose curls. Her large, regular features are vibrant, and her expressive dark eyes glow with intelligence, determination, and deep compassion. Cora's appearance is completely devoid of effeminacy and conveys to those around her a mature strength, hidden courage, and unwavering pride.
