∆lice is the overarching antagonist of Fundamental Paper Education. She resides in her room, which is located somewhere in Paper School. She is Oliver's childhood friend and girlfriend, as of seen in somewhere in the official FPE video in a book, supposingly at the start.
Δlice is a seemingly normal girl with short brown messy hair and tan skin with a pointed ahoge atop her head, a white princess tiara, and a black bow on the left side of her head. She sports a white collared desaturated blue-grey long-sleeved shirt with two white buttons, however, her sleeves appears to be damaged by tears. She wears a black necklace with a bronze triangle crossed through by two lines on it.
Her attire is finished with a black tea-length skirt with a white waistband, white semicircle outline designs on the end with dots in between the semicircles, accompanied by white socks and black mary-janes. She appears to have a reddish scar on each leg.
While Δlice‘s appearance mostly remains the same, part of her true form shows. Her clothes seem more tattered and ripped. She dons a tattered poncho with a brown patch appearing on the right side of the poncho with a rhombus symbol on it and a bandage wrapped around both of her sleeves. She still has a black bow but on the right side of her head. The white princess tiara changes to a black crown, and a strange red rash appears on the right side of her face. The top part of her face is obscured, thus only one eye is visible.
Six small black tendrils poke out from behind her, one of them wrapped in a bandage. Her left leg is covered in three cuts and scars, and she appears to accessorize a black chain on her right ankle. Her black skirt has two brown patches with a rhombus and stitches. As seen in a few artworks, she also has a bandage wrapped around her chest.
At the end of Basics in Behavior, Δlice is seen in her true form. She takes on a demonic appearance, pitch black and silhouetted with bright red scleras and black slit pupils. Six large black tendrils poke out from behind her.
She has long black claws, and she also has a long black tail. Additionally, she appears to grow in height, as depicted in official artwork where she is much taller than Oliver and Connor.[2] When Δlice was a child, she had short brown hair, tied into pigtails with two black bows that appears to be chipped. Her attire consisted of a white long-sleeved shirt underneath denim overalls. She was seen holding a plush black bunny toy, which looked rather similar to her future pet bunny. She also had rosy cheeks.
∆lice makes her debut entirely at the end of Basics in Behavior. After Claire ran into ∆lice's room by mistaking it for the exit, Claire takes a breather for a second, panting in place, before looking around and realizing she wasn't outside of the school.
Soon after this, Claire looks infront of her, and spots ∆lice in the distance, glaring at her, which in turn causes Claire's eyes to widen in surprise upon seeing ∆lice. Immediately after Claire notices her, ∆lice stomps her foot down onto the ground, causing a barrage of black spikes to come out of the ground infront of her, heading towards Claire.
Claire narrowly manages to dodge the spikes by jumping into the air, tears prickling at the corners of her eyes. Soon after the attack, ∆lice jumps on the other black spikes located in her room, before jumping up into the air and swinging one of her clawed hands at Claire, with her claws successfully slashing across Claire's face, causing Claire to fall out of the air and harshly hit the floor.
Soon after this, Claire quickly gets up, a big slash seen across her eye, as ∆lice jumps down onto the ground infront of her, a total of three black tendrils now coming out of ∆lice's back. Soon after landing, ∆lice jumps into the air, and attempts to pounce on Claire, which Claire narrowly avoids, as Claire quickly runs out of ∆lice's room, with ∆lice quickly following behind.
Multiple shots of the school turning from paper to normal begin to play in the video, the change startling Miss Emily who was teaching her class. Miss Circle, Miss Bloomie, and Miss Thavel are also nervous, Miss Circle trying to cover her nervousness up with a silly expression, Miss Thavel looking panicked, and Miss Bloomie just looking guilty while scratching the back of her head.
The video cuts back to Claire and ∆lice, as Claire bursts goes through a double door in the school, with ∆lice soon after bursting through the doors, and swinging one of her clawed hands at Claire, which Claire manages to dodge. ∆lice tries it again, only for the same result, making ∆lice switch tactics, as she teleports soon after Claire gets out of the camera's view.
The video cuts to Claire running down a hallway, before glancing behind her, the video cutting to behind Claire where ∆lice was, with ∆lice transforming into her True Form and crawling across the floor of the hallway. Claire eventually reaches the real exit door, and attempts to open it, only to realize the exit is locked, causing Claire to turn around, as she stares up at ∆lice in her True Form slowly walking towards her.
∆lice unclenches her hand, revealing her claws, before the video cuts to black, Claire being killed off-screen by ∆lice.
Claire is the main protagonist of Basics in Behavior, and a major character featured in Fundamental Paper Education. She was a student that attended Paper School.
Appearance Claire has a simple blunt bob cut hairstyle with a bow atop of her head. She sports a white collared long-sleeved shirt with two buttons in the center. Her attire is finished with white shorts, accompanied by ankle-length white socks along and black shoes.
Alternative Appearance Claire's alternative form makes an appearance in another project made by Kaaatie. She appears to have a similar look, the only differences being her clothing, colors, and accessories.
Claire's alternative appearance has auburn-colored hair in a bob blunt cut hairstyle. For accessories, she wears a green bow, alongside a MoeMoe hair clip. She sports a white shirt covered by a blue jacket with long white sleeves. She also has a black necklace with a glass bottle, which contains dirt and a sprout (however, in some artwork, it appears to be missing).
She wears brown shorts with pockets, accessorized with green and brown striped socks. Her attire is completed with red shoes, that have white accents.
When Claire enters ∆lice's room, her appearance transforms. While her alternative form in Basics in Behavior closely resembles her current one, she now wears a blue collared shirt with white buttons and sleeves, finishing with brown shorts. Her hair changes to brown, adorned with a green bow.
Debut Alternative Appearance Claire's debut appearance looked rather similar to her current one, but her hair clip and necklace were absent. Additionally, instead of shorts, she donned brown pants. Her eyes were also brown, rather than green.
Snow Outfit In a few artworks where Claire appears to be in a snowy forest, her appearance remains similar to her alternative appearance, however, she dons a green beanie with white hems, and her necklace appears to be absent.
Young Appearance When Claire was a child, her hair appeared much shorter. She sported a blue shirt, accessorized with her signature green bow. Her attire was finished with a brown skirt.
Claire was known for being a hard-working student who focused on her studies. She had a calm demeanor, but she could get annoyed easily by Zip, Edward, and Oliver’s antics. Despite being a hard-working student, Claire also expressed anxiety when first entering Paper School. She was seen usually confiding with Engel, who was one of her friends, as shown on-screen in Basics in Behavior.
Claire first appeared at the start of the video, being seen walking towards Paper School, a nervous expression on her face as she approaches the building. She soon after appears in one of the hallways in the school, staring at another hallway in the school which had Abbie, Bubble, Engel, and many more people in it.
Claire later appeared in Miss Circle's classroom, being seen writing something down on a notebook. However, her writing is interrupted as she is suddenly struck by a paper airplane. Claire ignores it, thinking it was just an accident, before another object hits her, this one being a crumpled paper ball, which finally causes Claire's annoyance to seep through her previous look of calm. The objects being thrown at her make her look over to the side, momentarily pausing her writing, as Engel and Bubble also look over.
The video soon after cuts to the perpetrators, and those perpetrators being none other than Zip, Oliver, and Edward, laughing at Claire after seeing her annoyance at them. Claire appeared much later into the video, in the library. Engel and Claire can be seen entering the library, Claire looking absolutely star struck when seeing the library. Claire soon after grabs one of the books from one of the shelves, beginning to talk with Engel at a random table that she and him sat down at.
However, this is interrupted as a drone suddenly picks up Claire, Engel making a small, futile attempt at grabbing Claire before she had been picked up, but in the end failing. As Claire is picked up to the top of the library, she spots the perpetrators once again; Zip, Oliver, and Edward, laughing at her as Edward controls the drone that is currently holding her. Edward soon after drops Claire into a pit in the library, the video soon after cutting to ∆lice's montage.
After ∆lice's montage, the video cuts to Claire finally reaching the bottom of the pit she was dropped down, seemingly in a daze. Claire is soon after seen walking up the stairs after exiting the library, an annoyed expression on her face at the constant bullying from Oliver, Zip, and Edward. After walking into a hallway, Claire stops walking as she is stopped by Miss Bloomie. Claire's previous expression of annoyance turns to confusion/curiosity, wondering why her science teacher had stopped her.
As Claire looks up, she spots Miss Bloomie holding her test results; an F on the test paper. Claire's expression quickly turns to that of fear, as Claire immediately begins running, with Miss Bloomie chasing her. After a bit of chasing, Claire quickly goes into a locker, managing to trick Miss Bloomie as Miss Bloomie passes by the locker that Claire had went into. Soon after Miss Bloomie had passed by Claire, Claire quickly got out of the locker, and began running once again.
However, she was once again stopped in her tracks, but not by Miss Bloomie; by Miss Thavel, who was holding her failed test in her hands. Miss Thavel soon after crushed the test paper right in her hand, as Claire responded by throwing a book at Miss Thavel before beginning to run the other way. Miss Thavel, however, was unfazed, easily slicing the book in half with her clawed hands.
Claire continued running, only to be stopped one more time by none other than Miss Circle, also holding her failed test paper. As Miss Circle slammed her drawing compass arm into a nearby wall, Claire began backing away, before just narrowly avoiding Miss Circle's drawing compass arm.
Claire continued running through practically the entire school, from the gym, to Miss Sasha's classroom, to the cafeteria. However, she is eventually cornered by Miss Circle, Miss Bloomie, and Miss Thavel. Claire manages to spot an opening through it though, as she slips past them, only to be sliced right across the back of her foot by Miss Bloomie's box cutter arm. Claire falls down to the ground, staring up at the teachers helplessly, as Miss Circle raises her drawing compass, before striking it right down onto Claire.
However, before the drawing compass could strike Claire, the drawing compass was caught in the nick of time by none other than Engel. Miss Circle stopped, clearly surprised at Engel intervening, and so was Miss Thavel, while Miss Bloomie just looked annoyed. Engel turned his head towards Claire, before telling her to run. Claire, with one more worried look at Engel, began to run once again like Engel told her to.
Engel is thrown against a wall by one of the teachers, presumably Miss Circle, as the three teachers continue chasing after Claire. Claire momentarily stops running, as she comes across an open room. As she looks inside of it, she is met with the gruesome sight of Lana and Abbie's dead bodies, Claire's expression that of fear as she realizes that is exactly how she is gonna end up if she doesn't escape the teachers.
Claire's attention is diverted to behind her, as she spots Miss Circle right behind her, a silly expression on Miss Circle's face, before it quickly turns to a sinister one. Miss Circle quickly slams her drawing compass down onto Claire, but Claire manages to narrowly avoid the strike once again, a clear look of annoyance on Miss Circle's face at Claire's constant dodging.
Claire continues running, until she spots the exit door, or, what she thought was the exit door. Claire's eyes light up as she realizes that she is finally free, making a straight B-line towards the door as fast as she could. The teachers that were chasing her, however, looked horrified, as they knew exactly what that 'exit' door was; it was ∆lice's room. But, it was too late, as Claire bursted straight into the room, thinking it was the exit.
Claire stops in place, panting because of exhaustion from constantly running away from the teachers. However, she momentarily stops as she realizes she isn't outside of the school, she is in some sort of black void; ∆lice's room. Claire spots ∆lice standing in the middle of the room, glaring right at Claire. Claire's eyes widen, as she realizes that she had sealed her fate.
∆lice stomps her foot down onto the ground, causing a barrage of black spikes suddenly shoot out of the ground, going straight towards Claire. Claire just barely avoids the black spikes by jumping up into the air, tears prickling at the corner of her eyes. ∆lice jumps off the other black spikes that she had summoned, before jumping into the air, and striking Claire right across the eye with her claws, sending Claire rolling across the ground.
Claire soon after gets up, as tentacles sprout out of ∆lice's back, ∆lice jumps back up into the air and descends downwards at Claire, attempting to hit her again. Claire manages to avoid the strike, quickly running out of ∆lice's room, but ∆lice doesn't let up, chasing after Claire. The entire school begins turning from paper to reality, as the other teachers can be seen looking nervous, knowing that ∆lice had just left her room.
The chase continues, with Claire desperately running away from ∆lice as ∆lice continues to try and hit Claire with her clawed hands, only for the strikes to miss every time. In the middle of the chase, Claire glances behind her, seeing ∆lice turn into her true form as ∆lice begins crawling on the floor of the school. Claire eventually reaches the real exit door, attempting to open it, only for it to be locked, as Claire turns around, her back pressed against the door as she looks up at ∆lice in her true form.
∆lice slowly approaches the fearful Claire, unclenching her fist, revealing her sharp claws, before the video suddenly cuts to black. The other students can be seen walking back into the hallways after ∆lice's rampage, worried about what happened to Claire. Bubble can be seen clearly worried at Engel's injuries, as the other teachers began crowding up around something. Mister Demi, Miss Grace, and Miss Emily can be seen staring at something.
Engel pushes past Miss Grace, gaining a slight look of annoyance from Miss Grace, as Engel's look of worry quickly turns to horror when he spots Claire's mangled body on the floor in front of the exit door. Oliver and Zip can be seen taking off the exit sign off of the door to ∆lice's room, being the ones who had placed the exit sign there in the first place, the ones who had fooled Claire right into her demise. The two snicker as they pull off the sign off the exit door, Zip being seen carrying a pencil in her hand, being the one who had written the word "EXIT" on the sign.
However, their snickering is cut short as they hear the familiar Japanesse text-to-speech voice call out their names, their eyes widening in surprise. The video cuts to the source of the voice, that being none other than Miss Circle, accompanied by Miss Thavel and Miss Bloomie, her arms crossed as she stares down at the two troublemakers. Miss Circle asks what the two of them are doing, before the video ends there.
Machine Girl Claire only made a brief appearance, covering her ears in panic alongside Daniel, Biscuit, and Anova.
Therefore You and Me Once again, Claire was only in this video for a moment, sitting in a pile of flowers surrounded by a large black creature.
Oliver is a character featured in Fundamental Paper Education, and the central antagonist in Basics in Behavior. He is ∆lice's childhood friend and boyfriend.
Appearance Oliver has ankle-length white hair that is tied into a bottom ponytail with a black bow. He has black horns and a red circled "A+" mark on the right side of his hair. He also has a large split ahoge atop his head. Additionally, his right arm is replaced with a pencil. Strangely, his tongue appears to be forked, similar to that of a snake.[1]
His outfit consists of a black collared shirt with white stripes on the sleeves and hems, along with a rhombus with a slash in the center of his shirt. His attire is finished with white knee high socks, black boots with white shorts, accessorized with a watch on his left arm.
Alternate Appearance Oliver's alternate appearance is similar to his paper self. He has ankle-length blonde hair tied into a bottom ponytail with a black bow with a large split ahoge atop his head. A bandage is on his left knee, and he sports a black headband with two small horns on it.
His outfit consists of a black collared shirt with white stripes on the sleeves and bottom, along with a rhombus with a slash in the center of his shirt. His attire is finished with white knee high socks, accompanied by black boots and deep teal jean shorts. He also accessories a black band on his right arm.
Recent Alternative Appearance While mostly remaining the same, in recent artworks, Oliver is shown to have sharp eyelashes on the corner of their eyes and a defined chest. Their ponytail also appears to be shorter. Notably, their teeth appear to be sharper.
Young Appearance When Oliver was a child, his hair was much shorter, as it was tied into a shoulder-length ponytail with a black bow, accessorized with a blue hair clip. He sported a blue shirt with a button in the center and a navy blue knee-length skirt. His attire was completed with white socks and black shoes.
Like Zip and Edward, Oliver is described to be a bully to other students. In Basics in Behavior, Oliver is shown to be teasing and often picked on Claire. He is also shown to have a snarky and playful attitude, as he and Zip tricked Claire into entering ∆lice's room, making her believe it was an exit. Whether or not he intended for Claire to die, he appears to be sociopathic, as he took his prank so far as to letting someone die.
He also appears to be madly in love with ∆lice, despite her violent, cannibalistic, cruel actions, and even joins in on her. [2] Oliver also appears to be rather violent and has little to no care for his own personal health, as he eats non-edible things, some of which are harmful to him, such as razor blades and soap.[3]
Oliver first appears at the start of the animation, standing next to Zip in presumably Miss Circle's classroom, his arms crossed and a smirk on his face, as he glances over at Zip, Zip doing the same thing back, before the video cuts to a different scene.
He later appears in Miss Circle's classroom, being seated at a table along with Zip and Edward. Before Abbie is chased and killed in the animation, Oliver is seen throwing paper airplanes and crumpled paper balls at Claire while she is writing something down, getting her attention as she looks over at him, Zip, and Edward, with Engel and Bubble also looking over. After looking over at the three of them, the video cuts to Oliver, Zip, and Edward laughing at Claire's annoyance at them.
After Abbie's death, Oliver is seen in the swimming pool area, floating above the water of the swimming pool as he glances down at Zip who was swimming under the water. After the short clip of Engel staring at a fish tank plays in the video, Oliver is soon after seen eating a bar of soap, Bubble staring at him in concern while Edward swims in the pool in the background.
Soon after the swimming pool area scene, Oliver shows up in the library, sticking his tongue out at Claire as she is lifted up into the air by Edward's Drone, before Claire is dropped into the pit. He soon after appears in ∆lice's montage, t-posing as multiple other miscellaneous objects appear around him. Oliver grins right when ∆lice's True Form is seen in the montage, before the video cuts to Claire reaching the bottom of the floor of the library.
He lastly appears at the end of the animation along with Zip, taking off the exit sign off of the door to ∆lice's room and snickering along with Zip. However, their snickering is cut off as Miss Circle's voice rang out, the video cutting to Miss Circle, Miss Thavel, and Miss Bloomie standing infront of them, as Miss Circle asks what the both of them are doing, and the animation comes to an end.
Alice Claire and Oliver go on adventures. will they be able to save everyone including themselves? Alice and Claire are sisters they just don't know it in the beginning.
