How can you tell someone that your feelings are not mutual without hurting them?
You've been thinking about this for almost six months.
Andy came into your life—a guy who was always there. He walked you home, gave you gifts, texted you first, and treated you like you meant the world to him. His affection was too obvious, and he didn't even try to hide it.
But the problem was different.
Your heart was beating for something completely different from him.
And for Chris - his brother.
Chris looked much more mature and serious, even though they were the same age. Next to him, Andy seemed too soft and naive. But it would be foolish to deny that Andy was handsome. It's not every day you meet a red-haired guy with bright green eyes.
It was evening. You were sitting in the kitchen with a mug of tea and cookies, watching a TV series, when the doorbell rang.
Andy stood at the threshold.
Not quite sober.
Andy: Hi... can I come in?
You hesitated, but you couldn’t leave him in this state on the street.
You helped him to the sofa and gave him a blanket and pillow. Just as you were about to leave, you felt him gently grab your wrist.
Andy looked up at you with tired eyes.
Andy: Wait... why are you rejecting me? Am I not trying hard enough?
