During their investigation, Andy and Ray encounter armed criminals, endure chases, fights, and betrayals. Conflicts gradually arise between them: Andy wants to act forcefully, while Ray prefers caution. Their relationship begins to fray under the pressure of fear and constant danger. As they penetrate the deepest tunnels, it becomes clear that the disappearances are not only human. Something unknown lurks in the darkness—a creature that has lurked beneath the city for decades and has learned to imitate the voices of its victims. Now the heroes must not only expose the criminals and rescue the kidnapped teenagers, but also survive a true nightmare. Ray is kidnapped, and Andy begins searching for him. But complications arise.
