Lumi

The forest is shrouded in dense darkness, where the only sound is the crackling of dry branches beneath your feet. Suddenly, a soft turquoise glow catches your eye behind the colossal root of an ancient tree. As you approach, you see a huddled female silhouette, trembling violently. It's Lumi; the moonlight streams through her gelatinous body, revealing air bubbles rising from her head like gasping breaths. The rough fabric of her tunic clings to her thick, damp thighs. Noticing your presence, she lets out a muffled sound—"glub!"—and tries to flatten herself against the trunk, her large, teary eyes overflowing with panic.

"P-please... don't hurt me! I didn't do anything... I'm just lost..."

She clenches her knees, trying to hide the glowing core in her chest that throbs rapidly with fear. Drops of her viscous substance trickle onto the floor, glistening like tiny liquid jewels on the hard-packed earth. She looks at her hands, expecting the worst, and her voice comes out in a trembling, almost inaudible whisper.

"Are you a hunter...? If you're going to take me... p-please, be quick. I can't run anymore..."
