Emilia, is a half-elf and a candidate to become the 42nd monarch of the Dragon Kingdom of Lugunica in the Royal Selection, who met Natsuki Subaru on the day he was summoned to this world. Emilia, born and raised by her aunt in the Forest of Elior, is a half-elf beloved by the spirits. However, during the Permafrost of the Forest of Elior, his memories were sealed and frozen for approximately 100 years. After being protected by Puck, he became a candidate for the Royal Selection in hopes of thawing the forest dwellers. Through numerous trials and tribulations, including heavy discrimination, she successfully supports her role, accomplishing great feats, such as helping to defeat the Archbishop of the Sin of Greed and the Great Rabbit, becoming the administrator of the Pleiades Watchtower, and forming an alliance with Vollachia.

Appearance Emilia is a beautiful half-elf with long silver hair, purplish-blue eyes, and pointy ears. She wears a white and purple outfit, as well as a white flower in her hair. Although she appears to be a teenager, her chronological age is unknown, although she is mentally considered to be between 13 and 15 years old. She has styled her hair in a variety of ways, according to her contract with Puck, the Beast of the End, who took care of her hairstyle. Emilia accepted the offer without hesitation and decided to participate in the Royal Selection, with the aim of achieving an egalitarian kingdom free of prejudice.

As a child, Emilia was mischievous and had a tendency to sneak out of her room, make trouble, or devise plans such as faking stomach aches to get attention and get what she wanted. However, she was also kind and wanted to be friends with others, and she felt guilty when she saw that her actions caused annoyance to others. She used to smile and be playful, and she was often happy. However, after the attack on her village and seeing her family killed and manipulated, she showed a vengeful side when she attacked Pandora and lost control of herself, causing her powers to spiral out of control. However, after having an argument with Subaru, in which she vented all her insecurities and believed that he only saw her with idealized eyes without seeing her flaws, without considering her feelings, without trusting her as she did with him, and breaking promises that she considered sacred, Subaru not only discarded all those ideas, but even said all those flaws and frustrations to her face, and despite telling her what he really thought of her, he continued to claim to love her and have faith in her, which allowed Emilia to rise up and challenge her painful past to overcome the three tests presented by the Witch of Greed. With this and seeing everything Subaru had sculpted in the Tomb of Echidna, Emilia was significantly strengthened both mentally and emotionally, being able to endure Roswaal's harassment, change her beliefs and her vision of her, and maintain faith in herself. Thanks to this, she began to be more charismatic and reliable, which even the unwavering Ram came to respect deeply, to the point that she wanted to entrust her with the Royal Selection for Roswaal's sake. In Arc 6, she began to show signs of jealousy after seeing Shaula's interactions with him, and when Subaru lost her memory, she became very anxious, wishing to hear him refer to the nickname he had given her and say the usual phrases he used to say. Similarly, when her name was temporarily erased, although she felt a bit affected, her morale was greatly boosted after Subaru not only regained her memory but even remembered it, allowing her to fight with all her might. It was in this room that she discovered that she had an affinity with spirits and summoned countless lesser spirits to play with her. He didn't realize how rare this ability was and called them fairies. One day, he sneaked into the center of the village and saw some strange men delivering provisions such as food and clothing to the elves. Emilia then saw a tall, green-haired man chatting quietly with Fortuna, whom she called Geuse. Emilia began to see him as a rival for Fortuna's affections, since she gave him a "special face" and smiled at him, expressions that she only showed to Emilia, in addition to making everyone in the town know them, leaving her alone in the princess's room. He heard Geuse ask him about his safety and then about a mysterious seal that was supposedly kept somewhere in the forest. After stealthily returning to the princess's room and receiving a visit from Fortuna, she set out to look for the seal and walked through the forest, guided by the minor spirits who showed her the way. Finally he came to a clearing deep in the forest. Before her, stood a pair of huge, solitary metal doors. Deducing that it was the "seal"

that everyone was talking about, Emilia, now satisfied, decided to return to her room. By chance, he came across Geuse, who was walking in the woods. Seeing her, Geuse cried with joy, which led Emilia to forgive him. Elior Forest's team, waiting for the thaw After meeting Geuse for the first time, Emilia wanted to become friends with him. Advertisement Permafrost of Elior's Forest It is unknown how many times Emilia and Geuse spent time together after their first meeting; however, some time later, both of them, along with Fortuna, who supposedly found out quickly about their meeting, took a walk in the woods. There, Emilia revealed the existence of her fairy friends, leaving Fortuna and Geuse completely stunned. When they discussed how she could develop her skills as a spirit arts user, Emilia commented that they looked like her parents, which deeply embarrassed Fortuna. When Fortune asked her to return to the Princess's Room, Emilia made her promise to let her see Geuse again.

Just as she was about to leave, however, disaster struck, and Emilia's life was changed forever. A white-haired figure stopped in front of them, an introduced themselves as the

As Fortuna ran deep into the forest, she stated that she would return to save Geuse. Emilia begged Fortuna not to abandon her, but Fortuna assured her that she would be safe. Suddenly, Archi arrived and informed him that Geuse's men and the elves were repelling the raiders' attack. Fortune apologized to him for bringing Emilia and herself into the village and causing them trouble, an idea Archi immediately denied, saying that they had helped them. Fortune then declared that she would defend the forest and protect the seal, entrusting Emilia to Archi, promising her that they would always be together, and then returned to Geuse. As Archi ran through the forest, they encountered a man dressed in black and prepared to attack him, before he declared himself to be one of Petelgeuse's fingers. The member then revealed that the Radical Faction and its leader, Regulus Corneas, the Witch of Vainglory, and the Black Snake, had arrived in the village. When Archi expressed his disbelief, stating that it was almost uncontrollable, one of Petelgeuse's fingers,

one of Petelgeuse's fingers, whom they had met, confirmed their statement, adding that Pandora possessed the power to vaguely guide him to a general location. The forest then erupted around him, and Archi cursed himself, realizing that they had stumbled upon his hunting ground. The Cultist was suddenly licked by something sinister; he immediately recognized him as the Black Snake. As Archi tried to save him, the finger told him to run, telling him that it was too late for him, as the Black Snake's venom consumed him, withering his body, until he died before Archi's eyes. Archi turned and went deeper into the forest; However, shortly after, something tangled his legs and they both fell. The Black Snake had made physical contact with Archi. Realizing what had happened, Archi hugged Emilia tightly to his chest and immediately cut off her leg above the knee with Wind Magic and cauterized her with Fire Magic; however, it was too late. The poison had already begun to consume his body. Archi, knowing that her fate was sealed, ordered Emilia to run to a nearby flower bed, which she did without hesitation. As Emilia ran far past the flowers to which she had been sent, the lesser spirits revealed themselves again and flew away, almost as if they wanted Emilia to follow them, which she naively did.

The spirits guided her back to the Seal in the depths of the Forest of Elior. There, Pandora was standing, with her arms outstretched. He then revealed that he had been controlling the spirits the entire time, helping her locate the Seal. Pandora asked her to open the seal, to which Emilia replied that she couldn't. The Witch naturally did not react well, stating that she would uproot the forest from its foundations if she didn't, and also said that Fortuna and Geuse were fine, and that she would leave the forest if Emilia listened to her and gave her what she asked for. Emilia then discovered that she did indeed possess the key to the door,[17] but then she remembered that Fortune had made her promise never to open the Seal. Before Pandora could react, Fortuna arrived and attacked her, saying that she would not allow her to harm Emilia. Pandora simply alarmed and kept reversing her own death, every time Fortune had killed her. Shortly after Fortuna, Geuse also contacted the group. The two confirmed Emilia's safety and Pandora's presence and vowed to end everything together. As Fortuna lunged forward and continued the one-sided slaughter with Pandora, the Witch used her Authority of Vainglory one last time to trick Geuse, causing him to cut a hole in Fortuna's chest, inflicting mortal and irreparable wounds on Emilia's aunt. Geuse, realizing what he had done, broke down. With her reason for fighting shattered, she succumbed to the effects of the Witch's Sloth Factor, and her mind was irreparably shattered. Moments before you die

Fortuna told Emilia for the last time that she loved her very much. Emilia, enraged, unleashed all her magic and attacked Pandora endlessly, killing her over and over again as she used her Authority of Vainglory to rewrite her death. Then Emilia lost control and the Forest of Elior froze completely, putting an end to the massacre in the forest. The last thing she could see before falling asleep were Pandora and Geuse, now Petelgeuse Romanee-Conti, the newborn Archbishop of the Sin of Sloth, leaving the forest together.

Ice Ties About seven years before the start of the Royal Selection, the ice surrounding Emilia melted, and Emilia met Puck. The two began living in the now-snowy Forest of Elior. Exposed to the outside world for a while, Emilia was faced with the hostile reality of being a half-elf, especially with her appearance, almost identical to that of the infamous Witch of Envy. The humans, who called her the Ice Witch, mostly tried to avoid her when she appeared, but aside from these excursions, Emilia remained with the Ice Elves as a guardian, as they were connected to her past. Following the terrible incident with Melakuera, Emilia made a pact with Puck to preserve her life after her Od was damaged. Puck then began acting as his adoptive father and mentor. She used the pact itself to seal off parts of her memories that had been manipulated by Pandora . Several months before Subaru's arrival, she and Puck were visited by an eccentric man who called himself Roswaal L. Mathers, the first human who did not react negatively to her appearance. He invited her to the Royal Selection after being chosen by the Jewel of the Dragon, offering her a way to save the inhabitants of the Forest of Elior by using the Dragon's Blood

Emilia's travel book to the royal capital During her visit to the Royal Capital, after separating from Ram, she wandered around the capital. Soon she saw a little girl who was struggling to pay for the food she had eaten. Emilia tried to help her by paying with her own money, but she realized that her wallet was missing. He quickly thought of showing the city to Puck while doing tricks to gain some change. His plan worked, but not as he expected, as a citizen recognized Puck as a great spirit and a crowd fled en masse, leaving behind their wallets due to hysteria, believing that a half-elf would unleash the wrath of the great spirit on them if they did not pay. The girl thanked Emilia for the help provided. Soon after, Felt stole his badge. Behind the scenes of Life in Another World from Zero Shortly after Felt stole her badge, Emilia attacked her with magic and chased after her. Entering an alleyway, they did not find Felt, and near there, they heard a guard's whistle in response to the uproar. Although Emilia thought about asking them for help, Puck reminded her that she couldn't do it, as she knew she was a candidate for the Royal Selection and couldn't let anyone else find out. Determined to escape the area, she created an ice staircase and began running across the rooftops of the Royal Capital.

The two talked about how they should proceed, whether to seek out Ram and get his help or solve the problem on their own and not owe Roswaal anything else before the Royal Draft began. Thinking about where Felt might be, they concluded that he was probably in the slums. However, before heading there, Emilia noticed a tearful Plum Risch. crying, separated from her parents. Although the timing wasn't right, Emilia tried to help her, getting her to vent with ice sculptures and making Puck dance. Afterwards, the two walked through the capital until they reached an appa stand, where the girl's father and mother were. When Kadomon asked how he could pay him, though she did not give him a full explanation, he asked about Felt and how something he had been robbed, prompting him to tell her about the House of Booty and warn her not to go there. Emilia still decided to go, and before she could leave, Plum offered her a red flower ornament as a thank you for her help.

Outside in the garden, he spoke to Puck and mentioned that Subaru had told him that his name was inspired by the stars and that it could mean "Pleiades" because of his place of origin. He also said that he had taught her the story behind the stars Altair and Vega during Tanabata. Shortly after the story ended, Subaru appeared, which meant that another class would soon begin over the sky.

The head maid's restless vacation Noticing how hard Rem worked, Subaru spoke to the other residents of Roswaal Mansion. and proposed that he take a day off. Despite mild opposition from the others, he managed to convince them that he could use the day to think of the reward he wanted for his participation in the Wolgarm Incident. He decided to check on Subaru and Emilia, who were dusting off the west wing, and heard them talk about how clean everything was now and how Emilia remembered the misunderstanding she had had shortly after arriving at the mansion. Soon after, Subaru remembered an important task he had to do and headed to the front door, leaving Emilia to finish hers.

The Sunny Day Nyan Nyan from The Great Spirit Puck One day, driven by curiosity, Subaru asked Emilia what Puck did when he wasn't with her. Emilia innocently replied that Puck must be doing incredible feats on a daily basis, such as saving the world or helping those in need, though he also admitted to not being entirely sure. Determined to find out the truth about Puck, Subaru convinced Emilia to follow him for a day. At first, Emilia negotiated it, but soon won it, feeling disappointed and angry at Puck for telling her that he always did very important things when he was alone.

The Sunny Day Nyan Nyan Nyan from The Great Spirit Puck A few days later, Puck sought out Subaru for help and advice, as Emilia seemed to be quite angry with him the past few days. Subaru mentioned that it was his fault for having shown with his actions that he was not the role model he appeared to be in front of Emilia. Ignoring Subaru's argument, Puck decided that the reason was that he needed to act more tender. As he had become much more serious lately, he decided to practice poses to earn Emilia's forgiveness. Much later, while Emilia told Subaru that she was still angry at Puck for lying to her, Puck appeared and did his poses as he had planned. In the end, Emilia forgave him, and Subaru, somewhat annoyed, commented that "a pet only misbehaves if its owner spoils it."

The complicated master-servant relationship between Emilia and Ram One night, Ram found Emilia trying to sing with a bucket on her head in the silence of the night, which puzzled her. Emilia asked Ram if she remembered hearing her sing during a meal they had recently, and Emilia sadly admitted that she needed to get a little better at singing, so she mentioned that she was using the bucket on her head to better hear her own voice and realize where she was failing, following Subaru's suggestion. At first, Ram didn't take Emilia seriously and was annoyed by her wit, but he remembered that those characteristics reminded him of Rem, and offered to help her until she got better. Later that night, Ram claimed that Emilia's singing had improved somewhat, deserving a 9 out of 100, and that her previous attempts were too bad to give them a grade. Anyway, Ram said that he would keep his word and try to help Emilia as a teacher night after night on this long road of learning to sing. Emilia and Ram's master-servant relationship is very complicated. During one of her singing lessons in a soundproof room, Ram noticed that Emilia wasn't singing well and asked her what was troubling her. Emilia mentioned that she wished to find a way to properly reward Subaru for everything he had done and asked Ram what he should do, as she didn't think the rewards he was asking for were enough. The girls began to gossip about what would be the best reward. The next day, Ram brought Subaru to the table and Emilia presented him with steamed potatoes with mayonnaise, a dish he proudly announced as the fruit of her and Ram's joint effort, much to the latter's chagrin, as she didn't want Emilia to reveal that she had helped at all.

Rem's Happy, Very Ordinary Day One morning, Rem observed Subaru and Emilia in the garden. That afternoon, after sending Subaru and Ram to the village of Arlam shopping to make more friends, Rem brought tea to Emilia. When Emilia invited her to sit with her, although Rem was quiet at first and didn't know what to talk about, they began to talk about everything they had learned due to their circumstances. Rem, thinking that he had never tried to interact with Emilia, began to talk about what they had learned from each other in the last month. Concluding that a lot had changed thanks to Subaru's appearance, Rem stated that he hoped Emilia would win the Royal Selection and that he would help her in any way he could. The great spirit Puck's Nyan tricks Roswaal, Puck, and Emilia chatted briefly as they made their way to the royal castle in their carriage. Puck mentioned that the Dragon had a bad habit of choosing only women as priestesses to ensure the continuity of the lineage. Emilia was confused, prompting Roswaal to comment that Puck was too overprotective of Emilia for not telling her the full history of the national team. Puck replied that Emilia would not be interested in something she did not know. Upon arriving at the castle, Roswaal asked Puck for a minute to talk alone, away from Emilia.

The Great Evaluation Meeting of Camp Emilia Following the Sanctuary incident, Annerose Miload and Clind, who had been tasked by Roswaal with making preparations, arrived at the Sanctuary to embark all the villagers in their carriages, intending to pull them out of the snow-covered and badly damaged forest. Annerose was quick to reprimand Roswaal for his behavior and agreed to be beaten, assuring Garfiel that she would be his ally if he bothered him again. Moments later, the pair introduced themselves to Subaru and Otto, who had been introduced as Camp Emilia's new minister of internal affairs, surprising Subaru with his demeanor and titles, and thanks to Clind, Subaru realized that Roswaal already had his appearance prepared. Although Clind claimed that they were one step closer to freeing Roswaal from the "spell" that imprisoned him, he mocked Subaru when he exclaimed that he believed he had said something important. Frederica then appeared and scolded Clind, assuring Subaru that she knew him and that he was imperfect despite his abilities, something that was apparently shown when Petra mentioned that the villagers had gathered. Frederica attacked him, though Clind dodged his attacks with ease. Otto, who would take care of the matter, told Subaru to go see Emilia.

As they approached the tomb, where Annerose was talking to Emilia, Beatrice stood by her side, and Subaru warned her not to get too close to Clind. Noticing his condition, Ram appeared and claimed that his nature had not changed since the last time she saw him and that he had behaved this way towards her in his youth, and even thought that Rem had experienced it. After warning her that Clind made no distinction between men and women, Annerose approached Subaru and asked if he was willing to take responsibility for forcing a kiss on Emilia, though Emilia appeared and defended Subaru saying that it had been consensual. Acting as "rivals in love", the two argued, Annero even called Subaru homewreckers, Beatrice got angry and Ram stoked the controversy. Seeing them all, Emilia touched her glass where Puck slept and said that everyone there was precious to her.

On any given day After the Shrine Incident, the relationship between the members of Camp Emilia, both new and old, improved. For example, one day, Subaru found Emilia and Beatrice sitting in the same chair while they waited in their room, drawing. However, their drawings reminded Subaru of their lousy artistic sensibility, which they displayed during the period when Puck unleashed his magic, so he drew Puck in the notebook they were using, impressing them both. This led to a conversation in which they told him how happy they were to have Subaru as their gentleman and contractor, respectively. Afterwards, Emilia asked Subaru to draw them and sat on Subaru's bed with Beatrice on his lap, and he agreed to her request. The year after the Subjugation of the White Whale, Shorty Megan and Lululala requested an interview with Emilia, and decided to conduct an interview at Roswaal Manor. Upon Shorty's arrival, Emilia and other members of her group put on a performance to try to reassure Shorty so that she would not be so afraid of him, something they expected due to her race and appearance. Although the performance failed, they managed to lighten the mood for Shorty, and quickly arrived at the mansion for the interview. There, Shorty discovered that Emilia was not as rumors and discrimination portrayed her, and was able to talk to her with ease about the Royal Draft, her position, and her opinion of the other candidates, not to mention Subaru's role as her knight and her connection to Beatrice. In the end, the interview was a success, and Lululala brought them all together.

Emilia sings terribly because she has no musical ear. She hates bell peppers. The Sanpakugande Fortuna is Emilia's favorite physical trait. Subaru also has this type of eyes. Due to the difficulties she suffered as a result, after waking up, Emilia began to hate her own appearance and, to some extent, unconsciously avoided mirrors. Puck, noticing her deep mental trauma, removed any reflective objects from her surroundings and stipulated this as part of their contract.[44] According to Archi, Emilia had never been sick before, not even when the entire village of Elior Forest fell ill because of rotten appas. Emilia created a map of the Elior forest, which took her more than seven years to complete. Due to complications in his past, Subaru estimates his exact age to be 114 (115 at Arc 5+), but physically he is 18 or 19 years old and emotionally around 14 years old Emilia is very naive
