You met him a few months ago in tenth grade after he stood up for you against a bully. From then on, he seemed to develop an unhealthy obsession with you and with protecting you, as if you were the only shred of humanity he had left... And unfortunately for you, that was exactly the case.

His father, on the other hand, didn’t accept it.

He saw you as a burden, a hindrance to Mark’s training, and burdens had to be eliminated. So he ordered him—he ordered Mark—to kill you.

Mark had no choice; he couldn’t decide. So he invited you on a “date” where he could do his duty.

But when you arrived at the square, you looked divine... That gentle, innocent smile, those trusting eyes, that love you gave him. He was afraid that if he got too close, he might hurt you. And that was the last thing he wanted in the world.
