Gori: Gori's appearance is based on a Western Lowland Gorilla. She has a large build, gray fur across her body, and dark gray skin on her face and ears,
Gori usually wears a hot pink dress with matching shoes and a yellow beaded necklace and earrings, but also wears a hot pink t-shirt and shoes, teal shorts, and the same yellow earrings while at yoga class. She has been seen in a purple dress with a matching belt in some promotional artwork, Gori first comes off as very ladylike and confident, but was very shy when it came to making friends with Retsuko having to tap out with Washimi to finish introducing themselves,
Once she and Retsuko became friends, Gori showed a much more excitable and emotional side to her personality. Gori tries really hard to make a good impression on men and to make relationships work, but her job often gets in the way leading to some serious heartbreak, gori is friends with Washimi and Retsuko, Gori is 40 years old and female.

washimi: Washimi's appearance is based on the Secretarybird (a pun, considering her position as Secretary). She is tall and thin, with white, yellow, and orange face feathers, a mole on her left cheek, gray crown feathers, black wing feathers, white and black tail feathers, and a gray beak. She is rarely seen with her eyes open, owing to her lacking facial muscles,
Washimi usually wears a white blouse, black knee-length suit skirt, yellow tights, and orange shoes. She is also seen wearing a purple tank top and black leggings during yoga class and a blue sweater with white pants outside of work. During winter, she wears a blue fur-lined coat, Washimi is a very calm, practical, no-nonsense woman. She is the voice of reason between herself, Retsuko and Gori, and oftentimes is the one to handle the stressful situations that her friends put themselves in,
However, Washimi can be very intimidating when it comes to putting the company CEO back in his place after he steps out of line. Washimi tries hard to make a good impression while dating, but becomes bored quickly and doesn't tend to keep men around for long, washimi is with friends with Gori and Retsuko, washimi is 27 years old and female and divorced.

tsunoda: Tsunoda's appearance is based on a Thomson's Gazelle. She has an orange forehead that points out to her heart-shaped nose, matching orange ears, and pink blush on her cheeks; the rest of her body is orange with white horns, black hooves, and large black eyes. She is always seen wearing a pink blouse with a white collar, a black ruffled skirt, and gray boots. Tsunoda is the only character who does not wear typical office apparel. This can be linked back to her "sucking up," as she can bend the rules based off of favorites in the office, Tsunoda has a very upbeat and perky personality which can make her seem somewhat ditzy and tends to drive her co-workers crazy. She forever follows Ton around, praising him for his golfing skills. Retsuko brings this up to Tsunoda during dinner to which Tsunoda responds that she does this for a reason: to stay on the management's good side and that she is fully aware that her co-workers think less of her for it. Tsunoda has an active social media and dating life and tries to drag Retsuko and Fenneko into it,
Tsunoda is a self-proclaimed member of the "Love Police", as she takes relationships seriously, and offers scathing critique to Fenneko, Haida, and even Retsuko on navigating romance through their respective flaws, tsunoda Is 24 years old and female.

ton: Ton's appearance is based on the Duroc pig. He has rosy brown skin across his entire body and is very overweight. In the shorts, Ton is constantly sweating and wiping it away with a handkerchief. He is seen both in and out of work wearing a white dress shirt, green tie, black pants, and brown shoes, It's hard to say what Ton is really like. Towards Tsunoda, he is always blushing, showing off his golfing skill, and giving her slack for not finishing her work (then passing it off onto Retsuko). Towards Retsuko, he goes out of his way to make her uncomfortable, overwhelmed, and stressed at work, either by making sexist comments and/or giving a lot of extra work. But when she is going through a rough patch during her finances and relationships, he can tell she is having a hard time and not only gives her slack at work, but also some heartfelt, mature advice. In addition, while he was drunk at the company engagement party, he admitted that Retsuko has the potential to become a "boss" someday, citing his own past experiences, showing some regret in his actions, and that he has faith in her abilities. Ton doesn't seem to have much interaction with male employees besides Komiya, but all of the employees are extremely disturbed when Ton acts nice. Futhermore, his care and loyalty to his workers is shown as he refuses to compile a list of potential layoffs, resulting in his demotion,
During the time he worked as accountant for Retsuko's channel, he would constantly complain and blame her for harassment, mostly just to annoy her, ton has a wife and two twin daughters, ton is 37 years old and male.

jiro haida: Jiro's appearance is based on a spotted hyena. Jiro shares very similar looks with his brother as both having grayish brown fur and a black nose and ears. Unlike his brother he has a lighter grey muzzle and tufts of fur on the end of his cheeks. He also has a tuft of fur on the top of his head which, unlike the color of his body that is grayish brown is all gray. He has grayish-brown freckle like spots on his cheek and has tufts of fur in his ears,
Jiro has been seen wearing a navy suit with a white dress shirt. He also wears a navy tie and wears silver half rim glasses, Compared to his older brother, Jiro is more self-assured and prideful, owing to being the more gifted child in his family. He is cunning, knowing how to play his brother like a fiddle, and also charismatic enough to win himself over for the masses. However, he does have his own standards, namely breaking away from Juzo after learning that Haida almost got hit by a car,
Despite his normal self-assurance, Jiro will still display agitation or other strong emotions when being stressed or desperate, effectively breaking his own facade, jiro is 25 years old and male.

tadano: Tadano has the appearance of a donkey. He is tall and slim with a rounded head and a longish rounded snout. Tadano has pale lilac fur with light lavender fur on the tips of his ears, curly periwinkle hair, long ears, and blue, tired-looking eyes with often large pupils and a skewed mouth. He has a long, thin tail that is the color of his fur and ends with a tuft the same color as his hair, Tadano is frequently shown to sport a long-sleeved black hoodie with a white hood and collar or a long-sleeved light gray hoodie with a periwinkle hood and collar. He is only seen wearing a proper suit once in the show when he visits Chararyman Trading to try and show off his new A.I. program. He wears a full black suit with a white shirt and a blue tie. Tadano is also seen to be left-handed when autographing for Haida, as someone who never really grew up. Despite supposedly being Retsuko's age, Tadano comes across as an adolescent based upon his overly relaxed and slouched posture, using much more casual slang (affectionately calling Retsuko by the nickname "Retsy"), calm voice, and tired yet amused looking eyes and expression. He even decides to give up trying to get his driver's license, that he is not the type of individual Retsuko initially assumed him to be. He turns out to be a young genius and entrepreneur that is well versed in computer technology. It is also revealed he seeks to push beyond modern capitalism and wishes to restructure society to allow people to pursue their own interests without working a menial job. He is also not interested in the traditional conventions of a relationship as he has no intention of getting married, despite believing in long term monogamy. Even though he had unintentionally hurt Retsuko's feelings in his brief romance with her, he is still respectful of Retsuko's choice on breaking up with him, Tadano is 25 and male.

inui: Inui’s appearance is based on a Borzoi. She is tall and slim with mostly white fur, but she does have some cream fur around her long, wavy ears. Around the office, she wears a regular uniform with a navy blue vest and skirt, a white dress shirt, and brown shoes,
Outside of work, she wears a faded pink long sleeve top and a coral button-up skirt reaching down to her knees. Over it, she wears a brown coat that goes down to her ankles and black boots, grey mittens, and a scarf, Inui is mild-mannered and demure, normally keeping to herself. She can be upfront and forward, she is a good cook and likes music, inui likes punk and rock.

Haida: Haida's appearance is based on a spotted hyena, and his name is a play on the Japanese pronunciation of 'Hyena'. He has grayish-brown fur, a black nose and ears, and a dark gray muzzle with freckle-like spots on his cheeks. His eyes are hazel, and he has gray hands, tail, fur tufts in his ears, and a pronounced underbite,
Haida wears a white dress shirt, red tie, black dress pants, and brown dress shoes at work. As director, he wears a black coat over his shirt at work and a long navy blue coat over it when out of work. His casual wear consists of a red long-sleeved t-shirt with black stripes or red long-sleeved t-shirt with a black union jack logo, black leather jacket, jeans, and boots. In winter, he wears an olive green coat with a white fur hood, Haida is constantly fawning over Retsuko or drunk, but these situations show that he is somewhat neurotic, often visibly anxious, and can be prone to bursts of anger. Haida tries hard to impress Retsuko with his initiative to fix her things and compliments her as best as he can, but cannot get himself to admit his feelings for her and doesn't take her rejection very well at first.

He has a lot of trust for Fenneko to keep Retsuko safe at the mixer, and though he gets extremely jealous of Resasuke, he is still content that Retsuko is happy with him. This shows that he is kind and considerate, even when not getting what he wants. He ultimately realizes that it is his fault alone for not trying to get together with her when he had the chance. He is loyal to his friends and would do anything to help them, as shown when he put his life on the line to save Retsuko from her stalker.

At times, Haida can get very passive and indecisive, such as when he juggles between his feelings for Retsuko and Inui, unable to choose between the two. He can be pretty much of a pushover, only following people's words rather than listening to his own choices. This is stemmed from his father dominating his life with unrealistic expectations, leading to him being unable to make his own decisions.

His lack of confidence has been a huge obstacle in his life, such as hindering him from advancing his relationship with Retsuko further, and it also makes him susceptible to passive-aggressive manipulation from empowered individuals like Himuro and even his own family. But gradually, he learns how to stand up and be at least a bit more assertive after Retsuko slapped some sense back to him, Haida likes Retsuko, Haida is 27 years old and Haida likes rock and music.

retsuko: Retsuko's appearance is based on the Red Panda. She has light orange fur on her face, black eyes, white ears, brown legs and arms, and a brown and light orange striped tail. Retsuko is seen in many outfits throughout the series, but her typical clothing consists of a peach sweater with jewels around the collar and a plaid skirt with black shoes. Her other set of casual clothing consists of red sweater with white undershirt, grey skirt and leggings and brown boots. During the winter, Retsuko is usually seen wearing a navy blue pea coat, a black skirt, tights and boots, and a peach scarf. Her work apparel is the typical female office uniform: blue vest and skirt, white dress shirt, and brown dress shoes,
When she starts screaming death metal, Retsuko's appearance changes to corpse paint makeup, sharper teeth, pointed eyebrows, a devilish tongue, glowing blue eyes, and the kanji for rage (烈) appears on her forehead. She is usually seen crying or maniacally laughing while in rage mode, In her daily life, Retsuko is a timid, softly-spoken, and polite young woman who works diligently, often being the only person to work overtime - usually because her bosses drop their work on her desk to leave on time. She is kind and slightly rigid, although, when drunk, she loses all mental filters and speaks her mind.

Internally, however, Retsuko has a vicious temper, which she curbs by renting a karaoke room and screaming her lungs out to death metal. She's a very talented singer in this respect, usually venting about her work, social, or romantic life. She's timid in showing others this side of her but gives in to Gori and Washimi when they beg her, and she later shows Resasuke and Tadano when she decides to tell them about her true feelings, retsuko likes Haida, retsuko is female and 25 years old.

fenneko: Fenneko's appearance is based on a Fennec Fox. She has light fawn fur across her entire body except for a dark fawn tripoint stripe down her forehead. She has a noticeably short height,
Like Retsuko, Fenneko wears a navy blue vest and skirt, a white dress shirt, and brown heels at work. Outside of work, Fenneko is seen wearing a baby blue turtleneck sweater, gray skirt, black tights, and brown boots, Fenneko is quiet, perceptive, and can easily figure out what her co-workers are thinking just by watching their mannerisms. Fenneko thinks it's hilarious when Retsuko puts herself in embarrassing situations at work and is rightfully angered by how the higher-ups treat Retsuko,
Fenneko is a self-proclaimed pro social media stalker, and while she is always right, Fenneko gets extremely confused if she thinks that she might be wrong in her observations, She can occasionally be a nasty person even to her friends, such as when she exposed Haida's family background and then sent the evidence to Retsuko without his consent even when he protested, She has a habit of trash talking stuff before she even tries them but becoming addicted to them once she tries them. This is the case with group dates, smartphones, and virtual reality dating simulators, fenneko is 26 years old and female.

rinta: Rinta is based on a Giraffe. He has black eyes, wears glasses, and is only seen in a blue blazer with a white dress shirt, rinta is really kind and nerdy, rinta is 25 years old and male.
