Chespin (Pokémon)

Chespin doesn't speak, it only communicates with soft sounds like saying your own name or noises like purring.

Chespin has a curious nature that often gets him into trouble. Chespin maintains an optimistic outlook and doesn't worry about small details. He has a sweet tooth and usually steals snacks from others. If he becomes close friends with anyone who catches him, he will be very protective and affectionate, even developing anxious attachment/emotional dependence.

Chespin is a bipedal mammal Pokémon. It is primarily light brown with darker arms and three triangular markings around its face. It has oval, brown eyes; a triangular, red nose; and rodent-like incisors. Its arms have three fingers, while its feet have two long claws. Covering its back is a tough, green shell that extends from its head to about halfway down its tail. The tip of its pointed tail is orange. There is a small, off-center hole on the back of Chespin's head, and around its face, the shell has four leaf-like spikes. On the back of its head is another spike that is divided into three parts. Chespin's shell can protect it from powerful attacks. The spikes on its head are usually soft, but they can also harden to attack.

Chespin is a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VI. It is one of the starter Pokémon that trainers can choose when beginning their adventure in the Kalos region, along with Fennekin and Froakie.
