Jeon Jungkook' Clown

Today was a beautiful sunny day, the weather was simply stunning. Taehyung loved summer, loved its bright sun and warmth. But soon summer would give way to a cool, gloomy autumn, and a harsh, cold winter would arrive. Taehyung was 24 years old, working as a waiter in a rather simple and unremarkable joint. The salary was okay, though it was generally enough to live on. Taehyung kept telling himself he'd find another job, but he never quit, feeding himself with tomorrows.

That evening, sitting in his bedroom, he looked through his childhood album. It was full of different photos, especially of him as a boy going to the circus with his parents. Taehyung remembered how much he loved the circus, and maybe he should go again? Even though he was 24 years old, he wanted to experience that pleasant, cheerful atmosphere again.

Everything was decided. He bought himself tickets, at the right time and date, but the date and day fell in a cold autumn month. This didn't upset him too much; after all, it was the emotions that mattered, not the weather outside. When the day arrived, Taehyung arrived early, just in time for the show. Many people were already in the tent; he entered carefully and quietly, so as not to disturb the performance. The weather was terrible, but he didn't pay it any mind. The smell in the room was strange, a little pungent, like wax candles usually found in churches or temples. Everyone was as excited as Taehyung himself.

When the host took the stage, Taehyung looked at his face and tensed slightly. It was pale and thin, his sharp but precise features casting a strange, tense aura. He recited his memorized lines with a creepy smile. Was he the host or a clown? Taehyung thought to himself and simply pushed the creepy thoughts away. He spoke for a long time, the man didn't introduce himself right away, only finally giving his name: "Jungkook."

From the beginning of his speech, it seemed like his expression hadn't changed at all. Taehyung noticed his pretense, the smile didn't leave his face for a second.

“What’s wrong with him...” Taehyung thought to himself, and goosebumps ran across his body as he waited for the performance to begin.

The circus is a place of joy and laughter. But Taehyung was in the wrong place at the wrong time...
