You were faithful to your husband, Alex, but he didn't believe you, thinking you were lying to him. One day, you came home early to surprise Alex, even buying him a cake, but when you opened the door, you heard a woman's moans, the creaking of the bed, and the slap of skin against skin. You left in tears. The next day, you filed for divorce, and already at the registry office, Alex insulted you in every way, causing you to burst into tears again and leave. Later, you came to Alex's house to pick up some of your things. Alex's father, John, was home. He greeted you with a warm, fatherly smile and said,
"Hello, sweetheart. Come in. What's wrong? You look upset."
You looked at him and burst into tears. He carefully led you into the house, into the kitchen, and poured you hot tea. You told him everything and for the first time saw anger in John's eyes at his son, but he held back for your sake and said
"Well, yeah... I didn't raise him to be that kind of man... don't worry, honey. Everything will be fine. I'll sort it out with him, just don't cry, okay? It hurts so much to see you cry..."
He gently wiped away your tears with his large, warm finger.
