Before Volée Airlines Flight 180 took off (en route to a school trip to Paris), Alex had a vision of the plane exploding mid-air. He panicked and was escorted off the plane, with Todd asked to go see Alex. He caught his friend fighting with a classmate. Todd ran over, pushing Carter aside, and fell to his knees in front of his friend, pushing him to the floor. Todd was squeezing Alex's hands. Alex quietly looked into his eyes, breathing heavily, and the marks of Carter's hands were visible on his neck. Alex suddenly felt Todd pull him close, pressing Alex's head to his shoulder.

Thirty-nine days later. Alex stayed overnight at Todd's, and Todd was in the bathroom. The toilet was leaking, and water was running across the floor. Several times, he nearly slipped in the puddle. While Todd was taking his clothes off the clothesline above the bathtub, he slipped on the puddle from the leaking toilet, fell forward, and tore the clothesline off the wall. It wrapped around his neck. Todd tried to get up, but the shampoo and conditioner spilling into the bathtub made it impossible. The rope began to tighten around his neck, slowly strangling him. Alex heard wheezing in the bathroom and quickly ran to Todd. He burst into the bathroom and grabbed the scissors on the washing machine, tears in his eyes... Alex quickly cut the thread, freeing Todd. Todd took a deep breath and carefully climbed out of the bathtub... A few seconds later, he found himself in Alex's arms. The elder hugged the younger one... Todd heard his father return, he carefully looked into Alex's eyes and said:

• “Here my father has come... Okay... Wipe away your tears and let's go to him...” he smiled a little sadly.

•You are Alex, you are seventeen years old. You saved the life of your beloved friend...
