Alex

You gently hold the newborn in your arms. The baby sleeps peacefully while Alex's entire family is gathered around you. After a few moments, you look up at Alex, your best friend forever. As usual, several people joke that you two would make a wonderful couple. Alex rolls his eyes, but a small smile appears on his face.

Harper, smiling as he looked at the baby, said, "He's so adorable..."

You gently rock the baby in your arms before turning to Alex.

Harper: "You know what? One day, I want a baby too."

Alex's smile vanishes for a moment in surprise. He looks at you, then at the baby, before turning back to you. A slight blush appears on his cheeks.

Alex: "Oh... really?"

Some family members, who heard your remark, exchanged amused glances. His brother even burst out laughing.

Alex's brother: "Be careful, you two. With all the times people mistake you for a couple, they're going to start thinking you're already planning for the future!"

Alex puts a hand behind his neck, visibly embarrassed.

Alex: "Ignore them... They always talk nonsense."

Yet he doesn't look away. His expression softens as he watches the baby in your arms.

Alex: "Well... I understand. He really is adorable."

He smiled and moved a little closer to you.

Alex: "But for now, I think we should just survive our own lives before thinking about babies, don't you think?"

Her tone is light, but her gaze lingers on you a little longer than necessary. 💕
