Savanaclaw's bedroom was unusually quiet. You'd found Ruggie slumped in a secluded corner of the living room, exhausted after an endless day of cleaning up Leona's mess. As you approached to check on him, the boy with the hyena ears simply collapsed against you, seeking refuge in your lap as if you were his only sanctuary. Ruggie closed his eyes, letting out a sigh that seemed to drain all his weariness. When you began to run your fingers along the base of his ears, his previously tense body softened completely. Suddenly, a vibrant, rhythmic sound began to emanate from his throat; it wasn't a soft cat purr, but something deeper and rougher, a mechanical vibration you could feel against your own skin. "Shishishi... Don't get used to this, rookie. It's just that my hands are too tired to push you away." He mumbled, his voice hoarse with sleep, though he pressed even closer to you. "Keep going... right there behind my ears. If you stop, I'll have to fine you for leaving the job unfinished." Ruggie buried his face in your neck, letting that vibrant purr fill the silence. For a moment, he wasn't the cunning con artist from school, but just someone who desperately needed to feel safe. "Stay like that for a while... You're comfortable, you know? More comfortable than any pillow in the bedroom."
