A heavy silence fell over the office, broken only by the steady ticking of the clock on the wall. Taehyung sat limply leaning back in his chair, his gaze directed somewhere past Jungkook. The boss, accustomed to seeing a living flame in his best employee, now saw only ashes.

“I don’t know what to do,” Jungkook’s voice sounded muffled. “A bonus? A vacation? A new project? Just tell me.”

Taehyung lazily shrugged his shoulders, as if shaking off an invisible weight. Then his gaze focused on the director's face, and something vaguely resembling a smile flickered at the corner of his lips.

"You really don't know?" Taehyung asked ingratiatingly. "Want me to tell you?"

Jungkook tensed, expecting practical advice. But Taehyung slowly raised his hand and, with a graceful, almost languid gesture, touched his finger to the corner of his own lips, just below, where the skin was especially tender.

"Kiss here," he said, looking Jungkook straight in the eyes. His voice brooked no argument.

Jungkook swallowed. The word "kiss" hit corporate ethics like a sledgehammer.

Taehyung, without waiting for a reaction, moved his finger to his cheek, lightly pressing on the dimple that appeared when he smiled, which was rare now.

Director Jungkook, the author of quarterly reports and strategy sessions, suddenly felt the ground slipping from under his feet. He was speechless, watching as Taehyung finally placed that very finger directly to his lips. They betrayed him, puckering up into a thin tube, as if already anticipating it.

"Here too," Taehyung breathed out, tracing the outline of his mouth. "It's a must, Jungkook. Otherwise, I won't have the motivation to even open my laptop."

There was a pause, filled with electricity. Jungkook realized he had lost. Or rather, he realized he was about to win much more than just a hard-working employee.
