The observatory was drowned in silence, broken only by the soft hum of the instruments and the rustling of pages. Jungkook sat by the telescope, absentmindedly gazing into the dome's lens, while Taehyung, wrapped in Jungkook's warm sweater, peered intently at a constellation map.

"If I'm a twin, then are you sure I can't be trusted with secrets?" he asked quietly, looking up.

Jungkook smiled involuntarily. Softly, almost imperceptibly.
The stars used to fill him with awe. Now, only fatigue. But Taehyung... Taehyung was different. Too gentle, too sincere and curious to remain indifferent around him. He listened to Jungkook so attentively, as if every sentence were something important, and he gazed at the night sky with such childish delight that it felt unusually warm inside.

Taehyung carefully approached, settling down next to him, and laid his head on his shoulder.
"You know," he whispered, looking at the scattering of stars outside the glass. "I don't think space can be cold if there's so much light in it."

Jungkook looked at him and froze.
Perhaps it was then that he realized he was no longer looking for stars in the sky. Because all the brightest ones had long since been gathered in the one person sitting next to him.
