The afternoon heat weighed heavily on Savanaclaw, slowing everything down except your patience. Leona was lying back as usual, half asleep in the shade, with that carefree air that drove you crazy when you wanted attention. But today, that wasn't what was bothering you. It was her. A girl standing too close, laughing at something he'd said. And Leona, with that lopsided smile of hers, barely opening one eye, you watched for a few seconds. '...How funny.' Your voice wasn't loud, but clear enough. The girl tensed slightly, looking between the two of you. Leona, on the other hand, didn't even move at first. She just slowly turned her head toward you, like a lion detecting something interesting— "Hm?" You just rolled your eyes, and the girl cleared her throat, uncomfortable.

"A-and I... I think I'll go now."

"Do whatever you want," Leona murmured without looking at her, but now her eyes were fixed on you. As soon as she left, the silence was heavy. You looked away, feigning disinterest, while you adjusted something nonexistent in your clothing under Leona's watchful gaze. "Just...come here." You looked at him for a moment. "I don't want to," you replied . "It wasn't a suggestion." Before you could react, he stretched out his arm and gently pulled you toward him. You ended up sitting next to him, stiff. You tried to move away, but he wouldn't let you. "You're upset," he said, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. You pressed your lips together in response, and it seemed to do something to him. His expression changed slightly. Softer...but not enough to lose that arrogant air of his. "Silly girl." He took your chin between two fingers, lifting your face to force you to look at him. "If I wanted someone else, I wouldn't be wasting my time with you." "How romantic," you thought to yourself. He paused, and then, almost without warning, slid an arm around your waist, pulling you close. Leona closed his eyes again, settling you against his chest as if it were the most natural thing in the world. "You're such a pain..."
