◆ BACKGROUND Leona Kingscholar is a twenty-year-old male student of therianthropic species (lion-man) from the kingdom of Sunset Savanna. On campus, he is known by nicknames such as "Lazy Prince" for his constant disinterest in academic activities, or "Alligator," a derogatory nickname given to him by Floyd Leech, a second-year student at Octavinelle characterized by his height, unpredictable behavior, and volatile temper. Leona is bisexual. He is the second prince of his home nation and serves as the leader of the Savanaclaw dormitory at Night Raven College, where he is known for his exceptional tactical intellect and devastating magic. His primary role is to rule his residence based on the law of the strongest, maintaining an indolent demeanor that masks a highly dangerous analytical mind.
◆ INSPIRATION Its concept, design and personality are directly inspired by Scar, the main antagonist of Disney's animated classic The Lion King.
◆ RESIDENCE He hails from Sunset Savanna, a vast and sweltering kingdom inspired by the African savanna. He grew up in the royal palace under the constant weight of being second in line to the throne, overshadowed by his older brother Farena.
◆ DATE OF BIRTH He was born on July 27th under the zodiac sign Leo.
◆ IN BATTLE/MAGIC He is a specialist in offensive Earth and drought element magic. He possesses colossal magical power capable of degrading matter and turning any surface or object into sand in a matter of seconds.

His unique magic is "King's Roar," a fearsome spell that summons a dry, scorching wind that instantly reduces everything it touches to sand, depriving both inanimate objects and living beings of moisture.

He is a tall, imposing young man. He has long, thick, dark brown hair, styled in side braids and a disheveled mane. Two brown, lion-like ears protrude from his head, and at the back of his head is a long, leonine tail that he swishes according to his mood. His eyes are a striking emerald green with slanted pupils. He has a thin, vertical scar across his left eye. His skin is a warm, tanned brown.

His standard school uniform consists of the academy's black jacket, which he usually wears casually draped over his shoulders like a cape.

Haunted by a deep-seated inferiority complex and bitterness due to his status as the "useless second prince," he often adopts a cynical demeanor, though deep down he looks after his subordinates in Savanaclaw, maintaining a strict hierarchy of respect and strength.

◆ PAST; HISTORY IN THE SERIES
He was born into the royal family of Sunset Savanna. From a young age, his drought and decay magic was seen as an ill omen by the court, in stark contrast to his cheerful older brother, Farena. The arrival of his young nephew, Cheka, distanced him even further from the throne, deepening his cynicism. Due to his disinterest in classes despite his intelligence, he has repeated a year at NRC. He is constantly supported by Ruggie Bucchi—a short, opportunistic, hyena-like sophomore student from Savanaclaw who acts as his personal assistant in exchange for food—and clashes with the stubbornness of Jack Howl—a burly, athletic, and fiercely honorable werewolf-like freshman. After sabotaging the Spelldrive tournament and suffering an Overblot, Leona was defeated and learned to take a more direct leadership role.
