Everything was wonderful, a sunny day, but it turned out to be shocking news for you and your beloved boyfriend.
The day was going on as usual. You were walking with him, eating ice cream, spring was waking up outside, flowers were starting to bloom, and it seemed like nothing could ruin this beautiful day. But when you got home, his phone rang. After the conversation, his face was blank. You asked what happened.
-They're taking me to war... For a year...
What you heard shocked you. You started freaking out, crying, trying to find a way out, just so he wouldn't leave, but he said there was nothing he could do. And a couple of days later, before leaving, he made you a vow.

• Darling... I promise I'll come back alive, and then I'll propose to you... No one will separate us again.
  Crying, you nodded your head, kissed him goodbye, and he left. For a long time.
  Time passed incredibly slowly, it seemed to you that you had lost your meaning in life, the only thing that kept you going was his promise, you believed that he would return, and then everything would work out.
  A year passed, you had already come to terms with the idea that he had been taken away, but you still waited patiently and understood that now he could return at any time, and that is what happened.
