Two children were running through the field. One of them was wearing a hat that was too big and little boots that no one knew where he had gotten them from.
"I'm going to be the best cowboy in the rodeo, you'll see!"
They walked through the grassland. He didn't take his eyes off you.

He gave you a light nudge with his shoulder, smiling.

Her eyes were full of hope.

But life had other plans. A week later, your parents took you to live in the city.

Fifteen years later, money problems forced you to move back in with your grandparents. You had forgotten what it was like to end up with dirt in your shoes and bugs where they shouldn't be.
