But something in his gaze shifted when his eyes dropped, just for a second…long enough, and he froze, very still.

You quickly explained that it was the electrocardiogram electrodes that had left that small bruise near your collarbone. But Silver didn't respond immediately. His eyes, usually calm, were fixed on the bruise. There was no anger... But there was something else...
