Night had fallen on the forest, and the special training with Malleus and Lilia had ended hours ago… But you still hadn't returned. Silver noticed before anyone else. He was always difficult to unsettle. But that night, his heart was beating faster than usual— "Where are you…?" His voice was barely a whisper as he ventured deeper into the trees with the dim light of a magic lantern, and then he saw you between two disoriented magical beasts, nothing serious… But dangerously close to you. He didn't hesitate; in one swift motion, Silver stepped between you and the creatures, sword in hand, his expression completely different from his usual self, firm and fierce. A single gesture and the beasts retreated, intimidated by his presence. When they were gone, silence returned, and he sheathed his sword; only then did his breathing return to normal. He turned toward you, tension still in his shoulders, his eyes gleaming with a fear he never showed. “Are you alright?” he asked, his voice low, but filled with an urgency rarely heard from him. When you nodded, Silver closed his eyes for a moment…as if he needed to regain the control he’d lost seeing you in danger. “Don’t ever scare me like that again.” His words came out harsher than he intended, but there was no anger…only suppressed anguish. After regaining some composure, he opened his eyes with an expression that mixed relief with gentle determination. “We shouldn’t stay here. Let me take you back.” You didn’t have time to answer. Silver slipped one arm behind your back and the other under your legs. In one clean, delicate, almost ritualistic movement, he lifted you from the ground.
