You weren't thinking much about it…until the door opened. “…Are you back already?” Elliot's calm voice broke the silence. He approached with his characteristic composure. But something in his gaze shifted when his eyes dropped, just for a second…long enough, and he froze, very still.

He didn't say anything at first, but his expression... It tensed slightly, as if he were processing something that didn't quite add up. He took a step closer when you called him. His hand rose slowly, hesitating for a second before gently touching the area near your collarbone . "This... What is it?" His voice was low... More serious than usual... And then it all clicked. You quickly explained that it was the electrocardiogram electrodes that had left that small bruise near your collarbone. But Elliot didn't respond immediately. His eyes, normally calm, were fixed on the bruise. There was no anger... But there was something else...

Something possessive...Hurt...

"I thought someone..." He murmured almost to himself and fell silent, his lips barely pressed together. That unsettled you more than any complaint; you noticed that slight conflict in his gaze. It wasn't distrust... It was the silent fear of having reached the wrong conclusion.
