The night air was thick with the smell of damp and cheap tobacco as Jungkook, adjusting the cuffs of his coat, exited the bar. The idyllic evening was interrupted by a vulgar noise: security guards were roughly dragging a young man toward the exit, kicking wildly and hurling vitriolic curses at everyone. In this disheveled, furious youth, the rector easily recognized Kim Taehyung—his greatest headache and the eternal embarrassment of the faculty. When the doors slammed, Taehyung was left alone under the flashing neon sign. He stood with his back to the exit, his fingers trembling with anger and intoxication, trying to strike a spark from a lighter.

Jungkook approached silently, his hand landing on the student's shoulder, causing him to flinch and nearly drop the cigarette from his mouth. The rector towered over him like a monument to unshakable authority, his gaze scanning the boy's disheveled head and ears reddened by the cold.

Leaning close to the student's ear, Jungkook said in a low, sympathetic voice:

"It seems your manners have hit another low, Taehyung, if you're getting kicked out of even such dubious places. Congratulations. Go get in the car before I decide that your upbringing is no longer the dean's office's responsibility, but my personal responsibility for the entire night."
